I decided to go out to eat and spend some quality time with my family in a beautiful, natural setting in the north of the country while I'm on vacation. I'm on the border with Spain, quite far north, in a village called Oteiro, which for me is one of the restaurants in Portugal with the best panoramic views. I've already visited it first because it features the dam (Albufeira) and the mountains (Picota) in the background, 1,000 meters above sea level. Let's talk about our experience at the restaurant, the service, and the quality of the food, all combined with the natural environment we're in. There's only one way to get here, and that's by car; there's no public transport.😮📸
Estoy en frontera con España, bastante al norte, exactamente en una aldea que se llama Oteiro, que para mí es uno de los restaurantes de Portugal con la mejor vista panorámica que ya visite primero porque está la represa: (albufeira) y de fondo las montañas (picota) 1000msnm, y bueno vamos a comentar la experiencia en el restaurante, el trato y la calidad de la comida, todo esto unido al ambiente natural donde estamos. Para llegar aquí solo puedes de una forma y es con vehículo propio, no hay transporte.🥩🍚🍛

This is one of the main attractions of the site, this beautiful viewpoint where some trails of the "fojo do lobo" valley begin, from here you can take a 25 km circular walk climbing those mountains in the background and if we are lucky we could meet some wolves which are endangered animals of the "do geres" reserve, now that we leave our vehicles here we enter the restaurant that I recommend you call in advance to reserve tables, since they only work from 12-15h🚙🚩
Esta es una de las principales atracciones del sitio, este hermoso mirador donde comienzan algunos senderos del valle de "fojo do lobo", desde aquí se puede hacer una caminata de 25 km circular subiendo aquellas montañas de fondo y si tenemos suerte podríamos encontrarnos con algún lobo que son animales en peligro de extinción de la reserva "do geres", ahora que dejamos nuestros vehículos aquí entramos al restaurante que te recomiendo llames con anticipación para reservar mesas, ya que solo trabajan de 12-15h🌍🌻

Upon entering the restaurant we were warmly welcomed, the views were amazing, you practically have windows that allow you to enjoy the view outside the viewing platform, as we had booked, there was no menu as such, I ordered meat with sweet potatoes and rice, it was a service for two people, in total there were more than 10 of us and we paid 190 euros... I thought it was an excellent price.🚙🌄
Al entrar en el restaurante fuimos bien recibidos, las vistas ni hablar, prácticamente tenés ventanas que te permiten disfrutar la vista que tienes afuera del mirador, como habíamos reservado, no teníamos un menú como tal, yo pedí carne con batatas y arroz, era un servicio para dos personas, en total éramos más de 10 personas y pagamos 190 euros... Me pareció un excelente precio.🥩📸
I thought the food was top notch, with that homemade flavor, the meat cooked well, a very tender cut, the rice and the rest were too good, I give it 5/5 stars.🌄🚙

The trail is very short, barely a 2km circular length, but the landscapes are incredible. There is a great diversity of biomes and ecosystems thanks to the small river that flows through the forest. We can encounter some species of otter and even the European eel. This is normal because they are animals that are part of our Mediterranean ecosystem. I really enjoyed the walk with my family.🚙🌄📸
El sendero es muy corto con apenas una extensión de 2km circular, pero los paisajes son increíbles, hay una gran diversidad de biomas y ecosistemas gracias al pequeño rio que fluye en el bosque, podemos encontrarnos con alguna especie de nutria hasta anguila europea, es normal porque son animales que forman parte de nuestro ecosistema mediterráneo, me gusto mucho la caminata con la familia.😮🌷

The importance of this type of ecosystem lies in our care and protection that we provide while we enjoy them, due to the participation of some aquifer system, rivers can bring transient species that require water to complete their life cycle such as amphibians or some reptiles, in addition to being an unlimited resource that allows any species to inhabit the area in a range of less than 4km, since there is always water for their food, birds are quite frequent in the area and allows humans to learn from them through birdwatching🌍📍

La importancia de este tipo de ecosistema recae en nuestro cuidado y protección que nosotros brindemos mientras disfrutamos de ellos, por la participación de algún sistema acuífero, los ríos pueden traer especies transitorias que requieran el agua para completar su ciclo de vida tal como lo son los anfibios o algunos reptiles, además de ser un recurso ilimitado que permite a cualquier especie habitar la zona en un rango menor de 4 km, ya que siempre abra agua para su alimentación, las aves son bastante frecuentes en la zona y permite que el ser humano aprenda de ellas mediante el birdwatching 🗺️🚩
