Perspective makes life beautiful while I respect your opinion on this topic, I will like to differ by saying there are always exception to the rule as not in all cases foolish people grow old too. Some times age becomes a determinant for measuring maturity as with age comes experiences and these experiences are lessons that ushers one into maturity. It should be worth noting that ones ability to handle situation mostly stem from their life experiences and what makes you mature if not how you are able to handle things and resolve crisis? That being said, I would not totally condemn the elder. Your friend if he's mature enough would not judge his wife to be based on hearsay because friends can also be snakes and tarnish your reputation out of jealousy. There are several ways to resolve issues like this not him jumping into conclusion over an allegation that he has no concrete proof.
