What is your favorite Filipino food?
Well this is so easy to answer coz my answer would be everything. Being a Filipino I grow up eating Filipino dishes at home. My parents are traditional Filipinos so when we go out we also eat Filipino Cuisine. My mom and dad didn't want to try anything else from the menu except for Filipino dishes.
Today let me share with you a mouth watering food experience at Savoy Hotel Mactan Newtown, their very own Batalla Splash food set.
This mouth watering food was delicately prepared for one hour to reach its perfection. The set was reserved ahead of time and even informed the chef early in the morning to be able to set this up before lunch.
The Batalla Splash is Savoy Hotels newest food package. For 2,500 pesos or $50, 4-5 people can already enjoy the meal, but wait there's more. You can also enjoy an unlimited use of their overlooking infinity pool located at the 3rd floor of the building.
So you can eat and swim, what a treat! So I was actually expecting my cousins to come so I thought we would be more than 5 so I chose to order two sets of the meal. But upon the foods arrival we were stunned to see that one set is already enough.
We were celebrating my son's 10th birthday and he was so happy to have his favorite lechon manok and bangus or grilled milk fish. Here are the list of food included in the set Kinilaw na talong, Garlic buwad rice, grilled bangus, mixed seafood soup,hipon, kinilaw na guso, kinilaw na puso sa saging, lukot, kinilaw na langka, assorted fruits, bam-i guisado, bagnet and inasal na manok.
With the 2,500 this is a reasonable. You get to enjoy good food, great view and unlimited swim at the pool.The drinks isn't included in the package so you might just add pitcher juices, they have pineapple, iced tea and lemon. They actually have a variety of delicious cakes and other ala cart meal incase you don't want to try the set meals. But I would say the set meal was way cheaper than their ala cart.
Note: Make sure to do an advance reservation for the food to be prepared, a half payment will be given as reservation. Children below 8 years old is free and 8-12 get to pay 300+ or half from the original price.
My son was the happiest on his birthday! My mom brought a delicious cake so we didn't have to buy one from the menu.
