Being a teacher has test me in so many ways. I was overwhelmed of the situation that as I reach my classroom after the typhoon my room was damaged. The ceiling fell off and some of the things got wet.

I usually prepare modules and distribute them, I collect their answer sheets and check them but today I have to do extra and different. Pack up my stuff, lift heavy things and secure important records. I know as a woman it is quiet difficult but I am willing to do all of this for my job.

We also had to clean our room and surrounding and help in preparing the school for the next distribution. But unfortunately we can not completely prepare our school since we still have a lot if evacuees from the nearby barangay who lost their houses.

Being in school without electricity and water is really a struggle. We couldn't use the comfort room since there is no water. We had to find houses nearby so we could fetch water. I think the people who are staying in our school also feels the same way. Living in an evacuation center might be very uncomfortable. Struggle to find water and not having the comfort of sleeping at night.

But despite all of this I know everything will have its time to put things back to normal. A lot of us may have suffered but Filipinos at heart are true fighter and will never give up easily despite the struggle or challenges faced. Just don't give up and hold on to that faith that all of this shall pass.
