Good evening everyone. How is your weekend so far? I bet everyone is on their way to their hometown right now to prepare for the holidays. Unfortunately I don't have the luxury to enjoy time during holidays since we are required to report to work. Its all good though, Im still thankful for the blessings that came to my life this days.
Alright, lets get back to the main topic. Tonight Im gonna share to you this famous filipino dish called "linat-ang baboy" or boiled pork with mixed veggies. You can always see this dish to carenderias here in the Philippines and is perfect for our rainy weather today.
So basically what you need to start cooking this dish is is your pork which we choose to have some bones in it, it adds flavor to the dish. Then you also need to have a little bit of squash and chayote. Squash adds a yellowish color to the dish and chayote also adds a unique flavor to it. You just need to put it all together in a boiling pan and add some salt in it and lrt it boil until your pork becomes tender.
While waiting for your pork to become tender, you must check your water from time to time and you also need to clean up some residues that may come out from your pork.
While waiting for your pork to become tender, you may also prepare and wash your green leafy veggies like bokchoy leaves, cabbage, string beans and corn. You need to make sure that you slice it depending on what you like.
Once the pork becomes tender, you can now add your leafy veggies and you corn and cover it until the veggies are cooked. You can also now add some salt and pepper depending on your taste.
And yeah, basically that is it. You need to serve it while hot in that way you can enjoy it in this rainy and cold weather. It is best to eat it with a rice and some red chilli added to it.
Tara! Kaon :)
