The count

what is good folks so we're back at it again... trying to hit some arbitrary word count because the hw demands a sacrifice. I swear half the content out there is just people padding out a single good idea with a bunch of fluff to appease the content gods. It’s like they want you to write a novel when all you needed to say was "look at this cool thing" or "this is dumb".

I already touched on this yesterday but the grind never stops I guess. You gotta feed the beast eh. So what am I talking about today? Absolutely nothing of substance that's what! Just filling space with words so I can check a box and move on with my day. It's kinda funny in a dark way... we've built these systems that are supposed to connect people and share ideas but that is not enough effort for some they want 300 words, because that is hard to do and takes time but printing something for a series or sharing a few words about some art piece that you worked on is not.

It’s the digital equivalent of being stuck in a meeting that could have been an email, its like You are sitting there, watching the clock, listening to some sleaze ball drone on and on just because he likes the sound of his own voice. That's what this feels like, except I'm the sleaze ball and you're the poor soul who clicked on this. Sorry about that dawg.

I could be doing something productive right now. Stacking some shiny rocks, working on a design... hell, even just staring at the wall would probably be a better use of my time. But no, ya boy is here typing out another paragraph of nonsense. The things we do for… well, I’m not even sure what we do it for anymore.

Anyway. I think I’ve successfully wasted enough of your time and hit whatever magic number was required. This is the game we play. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll have something actually worth talking about. Don’t count on it though.
