I am publishing a poll each week on the top 10 projects funded by Valueplan on whether Hive users would like to see the project winded down or keep supporting. Point to note that this is in no way linked to Valueplan and the outcome of this poll makes no difference whether a project is funded or not. Some users may support Valueplan but not support a certain project and this is a poll to try and get an idea which projects should be winded down or fully supported. Last week we did the rally car which was the number 1 project funded by Valueplan and even though there were only 41 votes , 39 users with over 3.5 million Hive combined voted against the rally car and wanted the project to be winded down.

The number 2 most funded project is the Community Wells project. Now this was an interesting one because it is a charitable cause with the boreholes and judging by the posts they do help these people in the villages. It was also pointed out that the Hive Ghana Community is actually up there with Leo on active users and alot of this can be contributed to the Community Wells project so they are onboarding. In total we received 31 votes which again is disappointing even with these levels of inactivity. And as @buttcoins mentioned I think ambiguity is a problem with these projects on Hive. People are aware of the project but not really aware of the costs involved.

So the results were that 24 Hive users voted to wind down the project and 7 Hive users voted to stay funding the Wells Project. Below are the Hive acccounts who voted against and to wind down the project.

Now I was expecting alot more in favour of the borehole funding which is interesting. The users who voted to keep them did put up some very good arguments to keep the project funded which is good to see. A little debate never done any harm in Hive and because we are a global blockchain , people of many cultures do have different views on how Hive should market their blockchain. So if our charitable boreholes are being voted 77% in favour of winding down then the next couple of polls such as the SWC GYM Street Workout, the Vibes Community, are going to be a white-wash. My big question with the boreholes is the cost increase between borehole 1 and borehole 20 is vast. One of the founders is living in the UK so are the Community paying for flights to Ghana and back which are at least £500 each way for the borehole launch?

There is obvious disquiet around the Valueplan funding but I was under the impression that the boreholes would be the exception. How wrong was I? Next poll up with be the famous or infamous GYM Street Workout which I will publish tomorrow.
