A Hive user is panicking today after his Grade 1 multi million pound race horse went missing. The reason for the missing race horse is a gate at the end of the lower field was jammed open and needed to be fixed. He should have fixed the gate around 3 or 4 years ago which would have resulted in them still being in the possession of the race horse called Naivety. Many of the stakeholders complained about the gate, gave out about the gate, they even set out about setting up a meeting with a couple of the other stakeholders to fix the bloody gate but they never took any action. Most thought the gate should be fixed but some dragged their feet which is to their detriment.
But now the multi million euro horse Naivety is missing , the stakeholders do not have a horse in the race. There was a long argument and finger pointing about why the gate wasn't fixed sooner. Things got dirty and one stableboy in particular was targeted for being in charge of all the race winnings. It was not until the horse bolted that the stakeholders agreed that the gate should now be fixed. During that time there was an Equestrian centre built, and an equestrian pool, a horse whisperer and a horse masseuse . Also a shit load of accouterments and accessories with the horses name on it which was now considered money down the drain. A load of metal horse shoes were purchased with the horses and given out at race meetings. But now everyone is looking slightly foolish with the race horse long gone and a hot debate arisen about fixing the dam gate sooner.
The largest stakeholders on the horse were kinda OK with the gate being left open because they were friendly with the farmer next door and they all had a great night at the annual Racing Post event The farmer sometimes aked to use their field to graze his sheep in so they did not push the gate to get fixed. They were also paid some rent for the privilege. However the farmer started taking the piss and kept upping his sheep requests over the years so it was time to put a stop to the whole dam thing.
At a meeting after the horse was bolted, the stakeholders set up a plan to fix the gate and again everyone was in agreement. They all put in their tuppence worth in the meeting and some in the meeting were the ones who had benefited the most from the gate being open in the first place. One of the highest recipients from the Naivety winnings even put in his own speech about how the gate should be fixed and a delegation should be set up to approve the gate to be fixed. The same stakeholder was running a horse racing tipster competition and using some of Naivety's race winnings as prize money for the tipster competition. Everyone thought it was a bit rich coming from that guy.
It was in that meeting that it was also acknowledged that the equestrian pool should not have been built in the first place. The horse wasn't benefiting whatsoever from the pool. Although there was one aul donkey that loved the equestrian pool even though he hadn't realized that he had long since gone to pasture and his best days were behind him. But the stakeholders liked seeing Old Gil in the pool so kept up the pool for his sake.
So a plan was put in place to finally get the gate fixed and ensure that the other stakeholders wouldn't do anything silly before that. But who was going to actually fix the gate?? The poor stable boy that was blamed for not fixing the gate basically told the room to feck off because he was told by the larger stakeholders not to fix the gate. A few stakeholder demanded some cash on top for organising to fix the gate but it was agreed from the start that stakeholders were not to be paid. So we are now at a stand still and the gate is still not shut.
Who will finally fix the gate? Will the race winnings be put on hold until the horse is found. Will the horse ever run a Grade I race ever again? How will they sell horseshoe merch if there is no horse? Find out next year.
