Johnny is busy this week as the weather is good so Hive users are posting their Actifit posts like there is no tomorrow. His excel sheet is like a work of art. He has every distance, every elevation and every circuit saved for any Hive users Actifit posts. Johnny loves to study the form. This week he has taken a particular interest in @fitnessfreak123 who is normally solid when it comes to his Actifit posts but he has changed circuits lately.
"Interesting" thought Johnny. @fitnessfreak123 normally cuts through the woods with the decent elevation but now he is going around the woods passing by a row of businesses."
Johnny could see from @fitnessfreak123's profile that he wasn't very freaky about the fitness in a few weeks. In fact he could visibly see his face fill out in the Actifit photos. @fitnessfreak123 has been slacking off. A quick google maps showed Johnny the Stalker that an ice cream parlor has indeed set up on the new route. "Check and mate" thought Johnny smiling to himself.
Johnny just loved these Actifit posts. Who wouldn't like them??? There is nothing better than reading about somebodies exercise. If someone increased their elevation , Johnny would take note and be happy at the fact that the Hive user was pushing herself or himself. They are thrilling. "These posts were better than any good book." Johnny thought to himself. Johnny being a red blooded male took a particular interest in the female Actifit users and had a few more columns on the excel sheet just for them.
Johnny refreshed the Actifit feed. Oh @whoateallthepies was back doing his couch to 5k for the 5th time. @whoateallthepies would start out in a sprint and then slow down considerably and it looked like he was crawling after a couple of minutes. Johnny knew there was a pub where he stopped so the Actifit run used to go well into the early hours recording an epic 13 hour run. The squiggly line from the pub back to home confirmed that @whoateallthepies had a buffet meal and a feed of pints which set him back on his challenge so he did not think Actifit was right for him. As per usual Johnny used the new Actifit app to encourage "whoateallthepies" prompting a different route the next time.
Johnny was keeping an eye out on @marymarathon . She was training for her next race and would always post around this time but there was no post. Just a post from the day before about doing a 20 miler today. But it was way past Mary's watershed and even though she was well into her 60's she was considerably easy on the eye, Johnny had an alarm set. He looked back over Mary's last long distance runs and compared them on Google Maps. There were a couple of places on the routes with extremely high elevations which could be a problem. It had been raining heavily in the area according to Acuweather. He left it for an hour but still nothing so he did what anyone would do. Rang search and rescue in a different country. Used AI to tell them his wife had disappeared running and waited patiently. The next morning Mary posted. There was a photo of her with tin foil over her after falling down a hole beside a lake. Luckily the Search & Rescue had arrived just in time.
"Check & mate" thought Johnny.
Some of the users responded to tough love. Johnny would recommend some interval training for others to improve their speed. Others needed a lighter touch. There was no monetary rewards involved for Johnny but monitoring peoples exercise regime and body fat% was enough for Johnny. But he was dismayed at some comments from Hive users that Actifit was like a scam post and some were downvoted for just posting a circuit. even @whoateallthepies was downvoted for attaching his watch to his dog and it looked like squiggly kids playschool colouring book. Johnny did not agree. He would get an hour of pleasure in one little Actifit map.
"Why don't more people like these posts??" he thought disappointedly.
He populated the labrador's running circuit into a new row in excel just for the craic.
Hold up a new notification. It's @messi123. @messi123 was a no bullshit runner. Just posted the circuit. Was the haejin of Activfit. Apologized to nobody. But his metrics were off the charts and was the fittest man on Hive. He was Johnnies idol. No route was the same. No time was the same. @messi123 did whatever the fuck @messi123 wanted. Johnny would always leave a comment on @messi123 posts. He noticed he started stopping for 45 minute breaks and plucked up the courage to ask @messi123 what he was doing. He got his first ever reply from @messi123 .
"Ask @marymarathon"
Johnny felt a pain in his belly. A pain of dread.
He immediately looked up his excel sheet and circuits. How did he not notice this??
It was staring him in the face all along.
@messi123 had been stopping for 45 minutes in the exact vincinity of @marymarathons house.

Johnny hopped from his chair into his wheelchair and sped out doing a lil wheely that he had perfected over the years. His favourite lasange and chips. It brightened his mood considerably but he couldn't wait to go back to his computer and make a new column on his excel sheet just for Mary and Messi.
