In the summer of 2024 major supermarkets in the UK started to remove plastic lids from homous pots, leaving customers unable to keep the contents fresh and safe.
I myself have had experience with this unfortunate decision in the name of the environment.
If the manufacturers had come up with a viable alternative it may have worked but there is only a flimsy top which is not functional.
This is a prime example of 21st Century stupid.
