God's general protection extends to everyone, including sinner's, also through natural provision like the rain and sun. Specific form of protection is the spiritual salvation given to those who repent and put their faith in Jesus Christ. He is our refuge, providing security from sin and it's consequences.
While God gives protection, unrepentant sinner's who reject Christ will not receive this special protection. God also protect those who trust and take refuge in him, he gave them both spiritual and physical protection. It doesn't mean that there won't be any trial but he gave us the confidence that he is with us, and gave us strength and shelter.
God's protection involves safeguarding souls and bodies, and also using Angeles to guard them. God's protection can also involve shielding people from their own misdirected desires or harmful action, like a parent protecting a child from falling. The bible did not teach that God gives specific protection to unrepentant sinner's because sin separates people from God. God out of his love shows kindness and provides for everyone including those who are not believer's. The book of Psalms told us that the lord is a shade and a keeper, protecting everyone day and night from harm and watching over all.
