The story of job showed us that suffering is not always a direct suffering for a particular sin. Disasters can show God's power over nature, and reveal his true nature. Disasters serve as a reminder of humans weakness and shortness of life, causing human to seek security in God.

In the book of Luke 13:2 Jesus mentioned in this life hope and truth, he used it to teach that everyone are mortal and will perish unless they repent and turn to God. Disasters can bring out the best in people, like rebuilding and compassion through supporting the community. Despite the suffering that is caused by disasters, the bible also speak of God providing comfort and future.

Some parts of the bible describe natural disasters as ultimate restoration, is also part of the process that will lead to God's kingdom and the end of suffering. It involves compassion for people, helping those in need, and remembering that their home is with God.
