Being complete once in a Blue Moon ❤️
Throughout the journey of our life, we meet friends along the way. Some come and go, others stay and those who stayed are worthy to be kept. I'm the type of person who has a small circle of friends, I'm not a fan of having a big one. I've met these people during my college days except for the newly added in the group, Vince.
During our college days, we get to meet every day to do our school stuff, however, after graduation and as we grow older we also get busy building our careers. That's why it's very rare for us to meet and if we do, we have to check each other's schedules to do an appointment. Although, we do our best to have an annual gathering to see each other and catch up. We mostly take the opportunity to meet up in the most wonderful time of the year which is the month of December Unfortunately, everyone was busy last year which was the reason why this gathering got moved for a few months (better late than never).
My friend Chenny suggested this place named Rotypeaks Ridge Camp located at Impasug-ong, Bukidnon. After the bridal shower, we decided to do our gathering. Impasug-ong Bukidnon is 2-3 hours away from Cagayan de Oro City and their municipality is an hour away from Rotypeaks Ridge Camp. We went to Impasug-ong using Angel’s car but her car was left at the municipality because it won't survive going up to the mountains. So, we traveled there using Habal-Habal and I swear the road is very difficult and rocky. It's scary to someone like me who has a trauma riding a motorcycle not to mention, we traveled at night because we arrived at almost 6 pm that time and it's difficult to see the road, it was muddy and rocky because the rain just stopped when we arrived. My friend Melodina (the bride-to-be) and Alonnah fell in the motorcycle good thing they fell in the grass near pineapple plants and not somewhere rocky or near the cliff so, they were not hurt. We're all lucky because we all arrived safe and sound at the location, thanks to the experienced drivers of each habal-habal we got.
As promised in my last post, I will share with you this worthy and amazing place.
Here it is ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Enjoy!
This was inside Angel’s car, we’re on our way to Impasug-ong
Along the way, we got caught by hunger so we took our lunch at this beautiful cafe located at Sayre Highway, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon the Lamplighter Cafe
This is a good place and they have great food, I wasn’t able to take a picture of the menu though. I’ve ordered chicken teriyaki and hot chocolate
Group picture outside and inside the cafe
We bumped into our professor in college and found out it was her birthday at that time then we greeted her, nice!
The feeling model in me 😂
When we got to our destination, we cooked the food we bought from the grocery since the place has a dirty kitchen and we had dinner together. It was already dark when we arrived at the place so, we were unable to see what was around us.
We planned to have a bonfire, however, after eating dinner it suddenly rained. So, we decided to stay inside and do our late exchange gift.
In this photo, we prayed first before sharing our life experiences from this verse Isaiah 60:22 - "When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen." which made us all emotional because each one of us has goals to achieve, however, there are times that it doesn't happen because it isn't the right time and if it is, God will make it happen.
And these are the things I received ⬇️
Thanks to my generous friends 💖
After exchanging gifts, we noticed that the rain stopped. And we saw 3 people having a bonfire so, we decided to join. We brought with us the mallows, biscuits, and chocolates we bought to make smores while doing bonfires. And we've met Dan, Ken, and Jayvee who were also staying at Rotypeaks.
Cold weather and warm heat from the fire is a good feeling
The next day, we were officially welcomed by this wonderful view. Are you ready?
Now, that’s breathtaking!
Someone is enjoying the swing! I mean, who wouldn't!?
Cheers to this amazing friendship! 🥂 and special mention, thank you to our generous friend Alonnah who ordered these dresses for us to use in this gathering 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
We saw our newly meet friends so, we took a group picture together
After group pictures, here's me again capturing memories from this amazing place ⬇️
Just taking time to appreciate the wonders of the world
She's loving the swings
When we left Rotypeaks, on our way back to the municipality we dropped by to this hidden waterfalls called Pinalagtik
There's no electricity and water is limited at Rotypeaks. One of the habal-habal drivers told us that there’s a waterfall nearby so we dropped by there and decided to take a bath while we were on our way to go home and we enjoyed it!
With all the things that we've been through from this trip, at first, I thought of not going back however, later on, I realized that nothing can beat an adventure with your friends and loved ones. I enjoyed it!
Thank you Hivers! I hope you enjoyed reading and looking at the photos. In my next post, I will share with you how I celebrated my birthday this year 😊 see you! 😉💖
Cheers, Mary 🌷
