Tenses

Let's Learn Some More.

Tense is the relationship between an action and the time it is done. When we talk about tenses, what should come to your mind are verbs.

Verbs are action words. These action words take different forms at different times. The way you would tell someone what you did yesterday would be different from how you will tell the person what you will do tomorrow.

Basically, there are three(3) main types of tenses in the English language. However, these three are further divided into four (4) forms each, making it twelve (12) tenses altogether.

The three main tenses are:

1.The present tense 2.The past tense 3.The future tense

The four (4) forms are:

1.Simple tense 2.Continuous tense 3.Perfect tense 4.Perfect continuous tense

This means, for PRESENT TENSE, we will have:

✅Simple present tense ✅Present continuous tense ✅Present perfect tense ✅Present perfect continuous tense

Do you understand up to this point?

Task: If you understand up to this point, use the format above to give the remaining eight(12) tenses.
