Present Tense

Simple present tense: Used to show the current action or a regular action. Example: I GO to work EVERY DAY.

Present continuous tense: It shows an action that is happening at the moment, usually in an -ing form. Example: Favour IS PLAYING football .
Notice the use of 'is' to indicate ‘NOW’ (Present), while playing shows the form of the action (continuous).
