Welcome back to another beautiful Monday. It has been a while since I made a beanie, I almost thought I had forgotten how to. I got a rush order to make 3 in a day. I am always skeptical about making rush orders because I feel something will go wrong somewhere, however, I couldn’t decline this one because it came from a close friend. ![IMG_2826.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/blezyn/23uQtf4Du6ahFZhdmf2ie1qSvYvayoh4XA3nhkvzaEiJs8k8icd97bP4AS8sa1cxsbAt5.jpeg) Lucky for me I had most of the colors she requested. I had to mix the yellow with a darker shade because I did not have enough of the light yellow. The urgency of the project made me just go with the regular beanie pattern but with a little difference. ![IMG_2829.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/blezyn/23wC7QMM48GsX8VWmGTt85i9YcSR3gvsZNQCZ9JSNc5XfQVHf3oLHrx51DkHmrhkEjqDn.jpeg) My go-to stitch for beanie is HDC, so I stuck with that. I saw a YouTube video that helps reduce the bulge when we close up the hat and all I can say is, I am hooked, the final result is amazing. I used to hate how hard it was to close up the hat and deal with the bulge that comes with it. I am just happy I discovered this new pattern, it also consumes less yarn and time! I just love it. ![IMG_2833.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/blezyn/23wgQGcDVVa3cVziJou3evZktqTc1UB1aWhLCRykQ2SZhMDeJ3cKrHwSBpk6KSpL8KhZd.jpeg) Although I discovered this pattern after I was done making the black beanie, for the black I tried to use HDC in the main body of the beanie and SS around the closing of the hat, which also worked fine but I prefer this new pattern. ![IMG_2865.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/blezyn/23z7SJqHeVbWVXVGzw1JHWbPH4wQQuykWCdRNPdwaGSvzPgArP8PggjCRAeJSZ5zrr5a5.jpeg) The pattern just involves working up the stitch to the closing slowly while building the beanie itself. By the time I had gotten my desired size, I only had to close up 4 stitches at the top of the hat, so it had a seamless joining which I love. ![IMG_2850.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/blezyn/242DWyc99LjTeGr2xN5fEPJQGcHzaQKn684tf2EaTCJYhC6fqrpNAVCMARCTjWpVzKtqD.jpeg) Each of the beanies took around 4 hours to complete, and with that, I was able to meet the deadline. While that is great, I don’t like having to rush orders because that would mean I can’t take breaks in between and it gets tiring. Nevertheless, I am happy I was able to meet up with the deadline without making any mistakes. I love the final look of the beanies and I hope you like them too. ![IMG_2876.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/blezyn/23yJX54TwyT9fBq5MqP8k4z81tx5EnHSPiCAexvigGGE4kgh149845pwhTRX33Xv9w79i.jpeg) Thanks for stopping by❤
