I have gotten some feedback that reminders are pretty useful when it comes to the regular events held in WOO. So here I am again with a quick reminder for any upcoming events.
Following on from my "PSA Notice" yesterday, if you’ve been wondering why the Discord calendar is still looking empty this weekend, the answer is still the same: @Bookerman is busy repping WOO at BakkenCon. Instead of a prediction contest or a watch-along, this time the action is happening face to face (at least if you're also there in person 🤣). The booth is up, people are walking away with free merch, and most importantly, brand new names are being signed up to Hive and WOO. Last we heard, the number of onboarded had jumped from 15 to 30 in just a few hours! 😱📈
It’s not often we get a reminder like this, but WOO isn’t just an online project — it’s a community trying to grow into every corner it can. Conventions like this bring awareness, expand the player base, and show that WOO has a physical presence as well as a digital one. And while we might miss the usual Discord noise for a weekend, the payoff is worth it.
So, no matches or throwdowns in the server this time, but make no mistake: WOO is still winning this weekend. And when Bookerman gets back, we’ll all see the results of the push, especially with those buybacks lined up for the token.
TLDR: This is a reminder to all my readers (and WOO fans) that baring any last minute sudden surprise events, this weekend should be a relatively quiet one. 😜
