Today's experiment is the fire snake experiment! This experiment is so cool to watch but you'll have to be very patient while waiting for it to grow into a snake! Keep scrolling down to find out about everything you'll need!
What You'll need:
- Sand
- Sugar
- Lighter fluid
- Lighter
- Baking soda
What to do:
- Get your plate or whatever you're using to keep your sand from going everywhere and soak it with the lighter fluid.
- In a separate container, mix the sugar and baking soda together.
- Pile the two onto the sand.
- Next, light the mixture and watch the snake grow!
- You'll notice that the sugar and baking soda will start to bubble up and turn black. It'll continue to burn for about 20 minutes if not more, and to extinguish the snake, just take some water and pour it over.
