We've had our first wintry blast, with quite ferocious winds and rain sweeping across the coast. The temperature has gone down, probably not quite enough for lighting a fire, but.... fire!! Who doesn't love an evening in front of the fire? Charlie does!
We've been fortunate here in Western Australia to have been fairly well sheltered from the covid pandemic, and have had, what I think at least , some good, strong leadership and the benefit of being able to act decisively early to prevent the levels of infections and restrictions that we have seen elsewhere. Nonetheless, I have been working from home as much as possible, and making sure our home is as safe and relaxed as possible given the circumstances. The animals have loved having at least someone home ecery day.
Relaxed and safe is exactly what a warm fire makes Charlie feel.
I've quite enjoyed the holiday from sports 6 or 7 days a week, but am looking forward to getting busy with it again, and getting back to supporting the kids and coaching again. I kind of miss it, but will probably look forward to a holiday again eventually.
I hope you're all safe and healthy, and finding ways to relax and look after your mental health wherever you are.
Take care,
@bmj
