With IA

And here is an idea that mixes provocation and ambition. Can you imagine that one day an entire Microsoft could function without human workers and operating only with artificial intelligence? That is Elon Musk's bold proposal with the MacroHard project officially revealed by his AI company XAI.

The name is an ironic provocation towards Microsoft, but Musk's idea is very serious. According to him, since Microsoft and other software companies do not manufacture physical hardware, in principle it would be possible to recreate their entire process using only agents. In other words, MacroHard would be a, in quotes, purely AI software company, competing directly with giants like Microsoft and even Google.

To do this, Musk is betting on Grok, xIA's jetbot as the engine for generate hundreds of agents specialized in tasks such as programming, design, generation of images, videos, voice and even usability tests, the idea goes beyond a simple virtual assistant, Musk talks about creating simulated users who would be virtual agents interacting with software in virtual machines, testing and refining each product until reaching the ideal level, that is, not only the coding part would be automated, but also the management, quality control and even the final user experience.

A complete pipeline without people, only with AI, the name may sound like a joke, but Musk already took it seriously by registering the MacroHard trademark on August 1st. The application covers areas ranging from existing tools for voice and text to automated video game creation.

Also mentioned is the Colossus supercomputer that is being expanded by XI Memphis with millions of Nvidia GPUs. This is where MacroHard would theoretically have its processing base, this announcement also lights another spark in Musk's personal dispute with Microsoft.

While Bill Gates' company invested billions in Open AI and already integrated it into Windows and Office, it further positioned MacroHard as a direct rival, it had already been ironically using the name since 2021, but only now did it decide to transform the joke into a concrete project.

In essence, MacroHard is part of a broader vision of Musk, Tesla not only as an electric vehicle company, but also as an AI robotics company that bets on humanoids and robotaxis, and now a frontal attack on the software giants, is a high-risk move, but if it works it could show that it not only replaces workers, but entire companies. And do you think that Musk is exaggerating with this project or that MacroHard has a chance to challenge Microsoft on its own territory?
