Splinterlands 101 - Ep 199: Land Cards

Welcome to episode 199 of my weekly Splinterlands 101 video podcast, with fellow @hiveaustralia members, and co-hosts of the show, @mattclarke and @giotrix

After a month in Cusco, I have now travelled to Guatemala, where I am staying at Hive Hub Guatemala, Del Lago Atitlan, run by @buttcoins. Anyone who has been involved with Hive in anyway would probably at least of heard of him, if not interacted with him.

We begin the show with Matt talking us through @davemccoy's recent post about land cards.

Going through the post line by line, Matt explains in further detail what a lot of it means, what will be required, and also shares some personal strategies that he will be following.

We also discuss the implications from @bronzedragon's video Huge Change Set to Impact P2E YouTubers! Full Details! about the coming changes to YouTube, that could be the end of Splinterlands influencers being able to get there videos on YouTube.

I take this opportunity though to jump on my soap box promoting @threespeak and Hive in general, for posting your Splinterlands content. If you have a Splinterlands account, then you automatically have a Hive account, so why not promote what you're doing, using what you're doing. You can then post a link to your content on X, to reach the market that aren't going to see your content on Hive, to bring them to Hive. Which is what I do.

Then, for the "mind blowing" section of the show, if you've ever wondered what it looks like harvesting a castle, then wonder no more, as Matt shows what he gets harvesting his castle for his @roaringtwenties guild.

Matt also goes into a little detail on @lordbutterfly's documentary about the Steem/Hive hardfork and how it may soon be available on Al Jazeera, and how he will be inviting all the Adelaide Hivers to his place to watch it.

and... apology time, for some reason (possibly PEBKAC) the 2nd half of the show didn't record, I did however manage to salvage the last battle that we did from my battle history and recorded that and chucked it onto the end of the show and it was a totally awesome battle 🤠
