Every morning, I start my day with a small ritual that sets the tone: brewing a moka coffee and creating that dreamy froth on top using oat milk. It’s not fancy, but it’s mine – and it’s delicious.
Svako jutro započinjem malim ritualom koji mi određuje ton dana: kuvam moka kafu i pravim penasti sloj od ovsenog mleka. Nije ništa glamurozno, ali je moje – i baš mi prija.
Here’s how I do it: (Evo kako to radim:)
- I pour one small cup of water into the moka pot's lower chamber.
- Sipam jednu šoljicu vode u donji deo moka džezve.
- I add ground coffee to the metal filter – not pressing it down.
- Kafu stavljam u metalni filter – bez pritiskanja.
- I seal the moka pot and place it on the stove.
- Zatvorim džezvu i stavim je na ringlu.
- While the coffee brews, I warm a small amount of oat milk (the barista version – it froths better!).
- Dok se kafa kuva, podgrejem malo ovsenog mleka (barista verziju – bolje pravi penu!).
- I use a handheld milk frother (the stick type – more affordable than a countertop frothing machine) to create foam.
- Uz pomoć milkfroter štapnog miksera (jeftinija i praktičnija varijanta od velikih posuda) napravim penu.
- Once the coffee is ready, I pour it halfway into a cup, then gently spoon the milk froth over the top.
- Kada se kafa skuva, sipam je do pola šolje, a preko pažljivo stavim penu od mleka.
Since it’s the Great Dormition Fast (Veliki Gospojinski post), I’m using oat milk instead of dairy – and honestly, I don’t miss regular milk at all. The taste is rich, creamy, and perfectly satisfying.
Pošto je sada Veliki Gospojinski post, koristim ovseno mleko umesto običnog – i iskreno, ne fali mi kravlje mleko uopšte. Ukus je pun, kremast i baš zadovoljavajući.
