Cromer Seafront, North Norfolk.

Hi everyone!

I recently visited Cromer in north Norfolk, on the east coast of England. It was a muggy and humid day with the odd scattered shower that I ducked in between to make the most of my time there.

The town still retains its old school charm, originality and charm with a few modern improvements blended in tastefully.

The victorian pier is still holding strong, the RNLI lifeboat is stationed at the end and the arcades still ring loudly down the streets.

Starting from the beach in the north - The famous blue painted 'No1 chip shop' has been here since forever.

In the middle of the town is Cromer pier. It has a theatre and a lifeboat station. The town is known for its crabs and so people throw lines down from the pier to try and catch some.

A groyne and sea defences - a similar shape to a fairy cake case and was quite hypnotising to watch the waves move over and around it!

A nice stair case design leading up to the pier. The black lines originating from the centre are engraved tiles - each noting significant lifeboat rescue missions between 1810 & 1941.

On top of the cliffs opposite is Hotel de Paris.

South of the pier are a few more quirky houses and pubs.
The RNLI museum is housed in a modern but equally as intriguing building with a swooping roof, circular elements and concave walls!
The glass lift is also used for access to the top of the slip way.

Lastly I flew from a park on the outskirts to get a different perspective. This is the immediate centre and whilst it looks reasonably small, it takes a while to wander around and there is so much to do here!

I hope you enjoyed this small overview of the town as much as I did wandering around it. One could easily spend a day checking out all the shops and history.

Take care until the next time!
