Just imagine you just wake up to a bank account filled with cash. It's such a life-changing morning. The one that you don't think of working anymore in your entire life. And now you've got two choices. Pack your bag and move to another country or just stay where you are.
This thought has come into my mind and I've had this about so many times. But what I had keeps pulling me away to stay in my home country and don't go away because of the fear of new environment and experience.
Home has always been my route. It's a place where I know what being close to a loved one feels like. The sound of neighbours laughing, people around the street, the children playing. The comfort of people you're familiar with.
With this money, I think I could make a very big difference here. I would begin to invest in communities. Maybe I'd decide to start a small business. Or create jobs for people around me, for my family. And to give kids also a better education or a good shot at their dream.
Sometimes there's something magical about just building up a place that shapes you. Wanting to give back to the community after they have invested in you. Sure, moving abroad or to a place new to start a new life seems exciting. You get to meet new cultures, new sites, maybe make new friends.
But one thing I've realised is that happiness isn't about trying to run away to a shiny place. It's about creating that meaning where you are right now. My country also had this flaw. But those challenges are there. They are the right opportunities.
With this money, I could just help fix things well, properly. Even if it's just that little one. Imagine those two of you seeing kids around. That you're funding their education or family. Driving in the future their business and their vigorous endeavours.
Staying doesn't mean you are settling. It means you're choosing to go where you want to be nurtured and planted. You would like to use the money to travel or learn things or bring new ideas back home but going forever is not part of the plan.
Maybe I will open an business around me or just start something that will be meaningful and impactful to my community where people can connect with each other. So the possibilities are so endless and they are all right here with us so this choice is not just about building that legacy, it is very important that you look back and know where you come from and try your best to give back to the place also.
Make the world feel brighter and I want to start from my hood, my community, the place I'm coming from my foundation, my source, my grassroot. The thing is that money comes ago but family are there always with you, friends are there with you, you love your home, there is no place like home and that is forever.
When you stay because home is where your heart beats you tend to create meaning around your loved ones and invest more to people who have helped to nurture you why you were growing up.
