Some days, life feels like a marathon before I even lace up my shoes, school tasks, back-to-back meetings, Hive work, and that never-ending to-do list. But somehow, I carved out time for two walks today, clocking in 12,000 steps and nearly 10 kilometers.
The canal was my stage, and the weather? Well, it couldn’t make up its mind. At one moment, the sky opened into this cinematic golden glow, painting the trees and buildings with a surreal light that felt almost staged. A few minutes later, thick clouds rolled in, throwing everything into shades of grey. And then, without warning, rain. Not once, not twice, but three separate times I found myself getting soaked.
But here’s the funny thing: instead of being annoyed, I actually found it energizing. Like the weather was giving me little plot twists to keep things interesting. After all, walking the same path every day can become routine, but when the sky decides to put on a show, it turns a workout into an experience.
By the time the sun pushed through again, casting those soft post-storm rays across the canal, I couldn’t help but laugh at how symbolic it all felt. Some days just demand a bit of chaos before they give you clarity.
So yes, today was busy, unpredictable, and a little wet. But it also reminded me that the best walks aren’t just about the steps, they’re about letting life (and weather) surprise you along the way.
