Today was a transition day, suitcases packed, routines disrupted, and yes, the step count definitely took a hit. No 12k badge, no long loop through dunes or city streets. But before heading home, I took one last brisk walk along the beach. And what a walk it was.
The wind was relentless, the kind that peels your eyes open and makes your nose run. Waves slammed the rocks with the kind of drama that only nature delivers, and I leaned into it like a stubborn mule with nowhere better to be.
No headphones. No distractions. Just the rhythm of the ocean and the crunch of wet sand under my boots. One of those moments where movement is less about exercise and more about reconnecting with something primal.
Sure, Iโll have to make up for the steps tomorrow, but this morning? This was soul cardio. And to me that counts just as much.
