Today was the kind of day where your calendar owns you, every hour double-booked, every “free” slot mysteriously hijacked by unplanned calls. But in the middle of that swirl, I found a sliver of time to breathe. Literally.
One stolen segment of lunch break, and I was out the door. The light was doing that late-autumn magic thing, spilling through amber leaves, cutting through the chill with a warm glow. I didn’t go far, just enough to get the blood moving and recalibrate.
Back in the office, I kept the movement going, 12 flights of stairs between meetings (because elevators are for people who didn’t forget their coffee on the 3rd floor).
All in all: 7,000 steps, 12 stairs, and one small reminder that even the busiest days have a crack where the light gets in.
Take the walk. Always take the walk.
