$IREN - When you made good Money but still feel like a Fool

+120% feels like a loss, but..

I thought I was smart locking in a 120% gain on $IREN within about a year. Posted it here on Hive a few weeks ago. I felt disciplined, even proud. But then, just months later, the stock skyrockets another +100%… and suddenly that “great decision” feels like a foolish one. I could have made much more…

So I did some research on it. What’s at play here isn’t just lost profit, it’s regret aversion and a touch of hindsight bias. Regret aversion makes us dwell on the “what could have been,” while hindsight bias tricks us into believing the outcome was obvious all along. In reality, no one knows how far a stock will run. Afterwards it always seems easy and clear.

Truth is: The win was real. The regret is just my brain playing games.

Have you experienced such situations yourself yet? How did you feel and think about it afterwards?
