Xi, Putin and Kim show united front at huge Chinese military parade
"The leaders of China, Russia and North Korea have appeared in public together for the first time in a show of solidarity at a massive military parade in Beijing."
--- Yawn...
"The display was not just a look at where China has been, or how far it has come – it was a showcase of where the country is going."
--- A bigger North Korea?
"The US president, who did not attend, took to his social media platform and accused President Xi of conspiring against the US with Russia and North Korea. "Please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin, and Kim Jong Un, as you conspire against The United States of America,""
--- It's not only the USA they are conspiring against.
Xi Jinping says world faces ‘peace or war’, as Putin and Kim join him for military parade
"Beijing is sending a message … that even if western countries continue to sanction Russia over the Russia-Ukraine war, Beijing will not be afraid to stand by its friend"
--- & that's new?
"“You don’t do a parade like this to commemorate the end of world war two. You do a parade like this to show force, and you are choosing the capabilities that you put into that parade to send a specific message,” she said. “What they’re trying to show is a conventional and nuclear force that can operate across all domains and with cutting edge technology.”"
--- Cutting edge made with chabuduo culture. So, not as impressive as many journalists seem to believe.
s.a.: What new weapons on show at huge parade say about China's military strength
"“Today, humanity is again faced with the choice of peace or war, dialogue or confrontation, win-win or zero-sum,” Xi told the crowd of more than 50,000 spectators, adding that the Chinese people “firmly stand on the right side of history”."
--- More on the left side of history. & those spectators, well:
Shut windows and empty offices: China’s massive military parade is closed to the public
"The main parade route is heavily patrolled as more than six square miles — about four times the size of New York’s Central Park — are under lockdown. Building authorities along Chang’an Avenue, the primary parade route, have informed Beijing residents to keep their windows shut and for those in offices to stay away from early Tuesday evening until well after the 70-minute procession ends the following day. Shops are closed along the route, as are subway stations. Police checks are more strict. The closest anyone from the public will be is at least a street away. Barriers have been set up even further"
--- Our parade is so impressive that you are not allowed to watch it. (Or: We are so afraid of even the tiniest protest that we don't want to see any plebs there.)
China's Xi steals the limelight in a defiant push against US-led world order
"This was the first time Xi, Putin and Kim had been seen together - and together, they climbed to the top of the Gate of Heavenly Peace that overlooks the historic square to watch the parade. The symbolism was hard to miss. Communist China's founder Mao Zedong had declared the founding of the republic there in 1949 - and 10 years later, it was where he hosted Kim's grandfather and the then Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev, to watch a military parade."
--- Wait, what? Then why keep some media telling us how unprecedented the current meeting was?
Hot mic catches Xi and Putin discussing organ transplants and immortality
""In the past, it used to be rare for someone to be older than 70 and these days they say that at 70 one's still a child," Xi's translator could be heard saying in Russian. An inaudible passage from Putin follows. His Mandarin translator then added: "With the development of biotechnology, human organs can be continuously transplanted, and people can live younger and younger, and even achieve immortality." Xi's translator then said: "Predictions are, this century, there's a chance of also living to 150 [years old].""
--- Now you know why emperor Xi has done away with term limits.

Chinas Machtdemonstration
"Japan griff China 1937 an.
