It's crazy to think that it's been a week since we hopped in the car to head down to Virginia. I feel like it was just yesterday, but I also feel like it has been ages since we went. The whole weekend was a bit of a whirlwind, and to be honest, I am still unpacking all of my time spent down south. I'm going to share some more of my photos from the ride down to Virginia in this post to commemorate the trip.
Actually, I was just texting with my niece last night because she had a game on Wednesday night, so I wanted to know how it went. It turns out on Wednesday night she hit the first home run of her university career! I wish we could have been there to see it, but I am sure there will be more, so maybe next time. I am so proud of her!

The markets have been busy doing the things that markets do. I'm not even sure how to tackle all the feelings this current cycle is giving me. I'm getting pretty close to indifference at this point. All of the hope I had for this epic bull run has been dashed to pieces far too many times over the past couple of months.
What I do know this that projects continue to build in the background, including HIVE. While that might not equate to massive windfalls right now, I have to believe that somewhere down the road these tokens that are just plugging along doing their own thing are going to have their day. It might not be fireworks, but hopefully it will be a sustained passive income that I can not drop the ball and take advantage of.
Fingers crossed!

Precious Metals
As many have posted about already, the price of silver and gold has dropped over the past week or so. I'm getting close to the point where I need to start making some buys for Christmas, so I am kind of happy that silver is down below $50 again. Who knows how long that might last...
You might remember a week or so ago I wrote a post about the treasure hunt that KZoo Bullion is doing. They are hiding 3oz silver bars across the (48 lower) United States. If you find one, there is a QR code on the back you can scan to be entered into a drawing for a 1 Kg bar. They started in Minnesota and they have been slowly working their way across the country.
As of yesterday, the Idaho, Montana, and Washington bars were still hidden. I doubt it will remain that way for very long. The Minnesota and Wisconsin bars were found within hours of being hidden.

A Bit of Charity
I recently decided to take some gains I have made over on Hive-Engine and use them to donate some SBI shares to a few authors on HIVE who I think are consistently putting out good content on a regular basis. This was hard because sometimes I follow people who put out a lot of good stuff, but then they have an occasional short low effort post.
While I don't disagree with their right to put out a low effort post occasionally, I wanted to respect the spirit of @steembasicincome and donate my shares to folks who go the extra mile. Hopefully I typed all of them correctly in the memo field...
@dbooster, @sanjeevm, @steemflow, @cryptictruth, @ericvancewalton, and @tegolotodo, keep an eye on your wallet for those HSBI shares to show up.
Full disclosure, these shares were donated via my @bozz.sports account.

Travala and X
At the beginning of the quarter, Travala opened their contributor tasks so that people who stake the token can earn some more AVA. It's pretty simple, you just have to post a couple things to X and then at the end of the event you earn about 50 to 100 tokens (based on my staking tier). Well, shortly after I made my posts to X, I got an alert that my X account was temporarily suspended for "spamming".
It's funny because I hardly ever use my X account. In fact, the only thing I use my X account for anymore is to do these posts for Travala. Perhaps that was the issue. Did they see this sudden "flurry" of activity as odd behavior. Seriously though, it was only like 5 to 10 posts or retweets in a couple hour period. That seems pretty mundane to me.
Especially when you consider there are folks out there doing regular Tweet storms or whatever they call them now that it is "X".
Stocks and Other Stuff
I'm not going to talk about anything else here. My NuScale stock is down though I think it will recover. CHEX is way down, and I am actually starting to question whether or not that will do what I had hoped it would do. It's starting to feel a bit like WAX. There is zero reason it shouldn't be a $1 token all day every day, and yet here we sit at sub $.10 levels.
Kind of how HIVE is. There is zero reason we shouldn't be a much higher valued token.
The good news is, we keep building. I saw a Tweet last night about some of the stuff that is being developed and I have to admit, it is very exciting. Perhaps one day soon our time will come!
