EASTERN NEWFOUNDLAND WILDFIRES
The unpressidented wildfire season on the eastern side of Newfoundland continues in a bad way. I don't often cover the news in my blogs but this needs to be recorded.
The following has been sorced from CBC
"An evacuation alert has been issued for parts of the towns Conception Bay South (C.B.S.) and Paradise — just kilometres southwest of St. John's — Monday evening.
It comes as the out-of-control Thomas Pond wildfire quickly grew to 200 hectares since it erupted earlier on Monday.
All properties in the area on the south side of Topsail Road from the Outer Ring Road exit to the C.B.S. boundary, and residents east of Manuels River should be prepared to evacuate if directed. "
This is the newest fire and started yesterday the 11th Aug.
The following information is sorsed from the Governement of Newfoundland & Labrador and is prob the best source.
"Regional State of Emergency A regional state of emergency has been declared by the Minister of Justice and Public Safety for a portion of the Bay de Verde Peninsula, from Bristol’s Hope to Whiteway (the communities in the entirety of the Carbonear-Trinity-Bay de Verde electoral district), due to out-of-control wildfires.
By declaring a regional state of emergency, the province can coordinate the activities of all provincial and municipal services in the area and engage personnel as required.
While this is NOT a full region evacuation, all impacted residents are asked to be prepared to evacuate their community on short notice.

Cabin owners in the Martin Lake, Great Rattling Brook and Rushy Pond areas off Route 360 (Bay d’Espoir Highway), including all cabins from Rushy Pond to Rifle Lake (approximately 45 kilometres from the Trans-Canada Highway). Wildfire Information
Small Point–Adam’s Cove–Blackhead–Broad Cove, Kingston, Western Bay, Perry’s Cove, Salmon Cove, Ochre Pit Cove, Burnt Point-Gull Island-Northern Bay
Firefighters and heavy equipment continued work today to expand the fuel break on the southern edge of the fire near Salmon Cove – Victoria. The wildfire has grown on the northern boundary and has reached Ochre Pit Cove. More structures may be impacted. Another potential fuel break location is being evaluated on the northern edge of the fire near Northern Bay. A fuel break was partially constructed along the Clifty Pond road this past week, however extreme fire behaviour and rapid-fire growth forced crews to relocate further north for safety. The partial fuel break at Clifty Pond road did help slow the growth of the fire. Water bombers were focused on the northern edge of the fire near Western Bay. The worked the fire most of the day until fire behaviour conditions limited the effectiveness of direct attack. Helicopters continued to assist with bucketing spot fires in and around homes. Two helicopters from the Canadian Coast Guard were helping transport crews and supplies. About 50 fire fighters were on the ground today, along with local fire departments working on structure protection. The first 40 of 80 Fire Fighters from the Canadian Forces began arriving today. The most recent fire size estimate was 5,236 hectares, however the fire has likely grown since that estimate. The Incident Management Team will be reassessing the plan of action in the morning. Martin Lake, Great Rattling Brook and Rushy Pond areas off Route 360 (Bay d’Espoir Highway), including all cabins from Rushy Pond to Rifle Lake
An advisory has been issued stating the Roue 360 may need to close but remains open at this time. Ground crews saw some heightened fire activity today and have moved to a new area north of the fire location, where they are currently holding the boundary. Construction on the fuel break between Martin Lake and Great Rattling Brook was halted this morning and equipment moved to a safety zone. Crews are closely monitoring fire activity in this area. Water bombers, Air Tractors and bucketing helicopters worked to keep continuous suppression on the north-east boundary of the fire. Sprinklers and pumps were placed to provide structure protection. Paddy’s Pond
Wildfire crews are responding to a new fire start at Thomas Pond, near Paddy’s Pond south of St. John’s. The fire is approximately 200 hectares. A bird dog and four water bombers- two from Quebec and two from the province – action the fire late this afternoon and into the evening. The Trans-Canada Highway is closed at the Foxtrap Access Road (east bound) and the Galway Interchange (west bound) due to heavy smoke in the area. This fire is in NL Hydro’s transmission corridor. One transmission line was impacted but there were no reported power outages. Ground crews are providing suppression to structures. The Incident Management Team and St. John’s Regional Fire Department will monitor the fire overnight using infrared scanners. Section of Holyrood and section of Conception Bay South (Evacuation Order lifted)
The Holyrood fire is classified as Under Control and remains at 22 hectares with no growth reported. Minimal fire behavior has been observed, and the fire is fully contained with hose lines. Crews are working with support from local fire departments with water supplies to handle any hot spots. Search and Rescue continues to scan for hotspots. Labrador
The fire 20 km south of Goose Bay did not grow overnight and is 0.5 ha. Two bucketing helicopters and ground crews from Happy Valley-Goose Bay will be working on that fire today. Reception Centre information A reception centre has been setup at Carbonear Academy, 88 Valley Road in Carbonear.

That is a lot of reading I know.
I live in Pasadena Newfoundland and that is on the West coast of Newfoundland. The wildfires are about 600 KM away on the east side of our island. But it is hot and dry on the whole island. And let me tell you I am 100 percent surprised that a fire has not broke out on my side yet. We have not had rain in weeks, lawns are turning brown, the forests are dry dry dry and we been in a heat warning for days. Over 30C in the day and close to 40 with the humidex.
Have a great day all.

CURATION TRAIL
No new members to the Curation Trailover in the last 24 hours.
It would be awesome also if all members of the trail supported our Hive Witness :)
The new goal of 500 members by the end of 2025.
What is the point of a curation trail and why should I join?
Any post that I up vote, everyone that is upto 373 possible upvotes.
j When you join the trail you can set your trail vote to what ever you want. Even if you set the up vote to 0.01. Imagine if we had 1,000 people in the trail that would be 10.00 to the post. Fantastic stuff. A little difference can end up making a giant difference to a Hiver.
That being said, we do have 373 members, I know not all are active, some have passed, but the majority of use are still here.
Imagine if we could get 100 people doing just 1 blog post about the curation trail. Do you think the membership would go up quickly?
Give it a shot, the more, the better for everyone.
And if you are following the trail please support our witness. @thebbhproject.
BBH RELEASE PRICE
I now set the release price of BBH to the markets daily. It is an open market so sometimes you can pick up deals when others are selling cheaper than my set price. The goal is to have 1 BBH = 1 Satoshi. I do a bit of math and get the price. If Bitcoin is stronger than Hive then the price of one BBH goes up and if Hive is strong than Bitcoin then the price goes down.
Here is the last week worth of price settings.

DRIP DAY
Saturdays are Drip Day. That means it is/was drip day. Now if you are not a regular reader of mine you are wondering what is drip day.
I run a income token and tipping bot all in one. The token is BBH. Every Saturday I payout the people holding BBH tokens. Passive income if you like. I like to call it a 'drip' of a token(s) to the people that own BBH tokens. And unlike some all you have to do is own it. No staking, no nothing.
If you own 10 or more BBH tokens you got a drip of swap.hive. If you own 5,000 or more BBH tokens you got a drip of swap.hive and the PIMP token, and CTP Tokens and SLOTHBUZZ. If you own 10,000 or more BBH tokens you got a drip of swap.hive, PIMP, CTP, SLOTHBUZZ. and LEO tokens.
If you stake 20,000 or more BBHO tokens you get a drip of swap.btc, BRO, and DUO tokens If you stake 5,000 or more BBHO tokens you got a drip of BRO and DUO tokens. If you stake 2,000 or more BBHO tokens you get a drip of DUO tokens.
All just for owning BBH. There are two ways you can get BBH. First you can buy them from the open market. I use TribalDex myself.
Or they can be tipped to you. The great part about BBH tipping is that when you tip a token to someone else you do not loose any of your own. There is a central pool that supplies them.
And a third way to get BBH would be people gift them to you. There was an update to the tipping bot. If you now tip 1 BBH you get 1 BBH also. How facking awesome is that.
And now a forth way to get BBH with the BBH Miner.
TIPPING
TIPPING In a 24 hour period, reset at new day UTC. There are currently five levels of tipping.
Level 1 = 1000 BBH holdings = 1 tip per day you can send Level 2 = 5000 BBH holdings = 5 tips per day you can send Level 3 = 10000 BBH holdings = 10 tips per day you can send Level 4 = 20000 BBH holdings = 20 tips per day you can send Level 5 = 50000 BBH holdings = 50 tips per day you can send Level 6 = 100,000 BBH holdings = 100 tips per day you can send
