You see, here in my house, two weeks ago the plumbing was clogged, and we had to break the covers of the lockers, since they were glued to the floor, to unclog the plumbing. It was a complicated but necessary task. At first, we were a bit worried because we were not sure how serious the problem was. However, we understood that we had to act quickly to avoid complicating things even more, so my dad and I decided to get to work on making new locker covers. We really enjoyed working together on this project. I learned a few things about DIY that I didn't know before, like the right way to measure and cut materials. Also, I realized how important it is to collaborate as a team, as it is always easier and more fun. Being in the company of someone who has more experience was also very enriching, because it helped me learn from their skills.

Verán, aquí en mi casa, hace dos semanas se tapó la cañería, y tuvimos que romper las tapas de las taquillas, ya que estaban pegadas al suelo, para destapar la cañería. Fue una tarea complicada, pero necesaria. Al principio, estábamos un poco preocupados porque no sabíamos con certeza qué tan grave era el problema. Sin embargo, entendimos que había que actuar rápidamente para evitar que se compliquen las cosas aún más.Así que, mi papá y yo decidimos ponernos manos a la obra para hacer nuevas tapas de las taquillas. Disfrutamos mucho trabajando juntos en este proyecto. Aprendí algunas cosas sobre bricolaje que no sabía antes, como la manera correcta de medir y cortar materiales. Además, me di cuenta de lo importante que es colaborar en equipo, ya que siempre es más fácil y divertido. Estar en compañía de alguien que tiene más experiencia también fue muy enriquecedor, porque me ayudó a aprender de sus habilidades.

Once we finished making the new covers, we sat down to admire our work and reflect on how sometimes things don't turn out the way you expect them to. It was a moment of personal satisfaction, because not only did we manage to solve a practical problem, but we also strengthened our family bond. From this experience, I have come to understand that despite obstacles and setbacks, a solution can always be found if we work together. Looking at the end result, I felt very proud. All the effort was worth it, and seeing how the new caps fit perfectly made me smile. This inspired me to keep learning and exploring more home projects I can do with my dad.

Una vez que terminamos de hacer las nuevas tapas, nos sentamos a admirar nuestro trabajo y a reflexionar sobre cómo a veces las cosas no salen como uno espera. Fue un momento de satisfacción personal, porque no solo logramos resolver un problema práctico, sino que también fortalecimos nuestro vínculo familiar. Desde esta experiencia, he comprendido que a pesar de los obstáculos y contratiempos, siempre se puede encontrar una solución si trabajamos juntos. Al mirar el resultado final, me sentí muy orgulloso. Todo el esfuerzo valió la pena, y ver cómo las nuevas tapas se ajustaban perfectamente me hizo sonreír. Esto me inspiró a seguir aprendiendo y explorando más proyectos caseros que puedo hacer con mi papá.
