Many people, even Christians, seek fortune tellers when they feel anxious about the future. But Bro. Eli Soriano, through the scriptures, reminded us that only God truly knows what lies ahead. The Bible shows us that prophecy is not for curiosity but to strengthen our faith when it comes to pass.
John 14:29 says:
“And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.”
In this particular verse of the bible, it was very clear to us that the future is revealed to us by God through his word so that we can not only trust him more , but also to believe him more.
Depending on fortune tellers or superstitions is not some thing that the bible recommends for Christians, this means that we should stay away from it. Not only should we read the bible , but we must also pray and hold tightly to the promise of God. As a result of having faith, we are at peace with ourselves knowing fully well that our future is in a safe hands.
This gospel gave us a simple but very powerful lesson,, God has already prepared a very nice and powerful plan for us his children, so we don't actually need to be afraid of the unknown. Trusting the Word of God and Living according to his will gives us true peace.
