An einem verschneiten Wintermorgen, traf ich in Salzburg ein. Eine historische Stadt, die durch den Salzabbau in der Region seinen Namen und Wichtigkeit erlangte. Die mächtige mittelalterliche Burgfestung Hohensalzburg thront über der Stadt. Obwohl eine Bahn hochfährt, entschloss ich den historischen Fuss- und Karrweg zur Festung zu nehmen. Etwas Fitness wird dazu benötigt, doch kann man dabei viel Geschichte erfahren. Die gut erhaltene Burganlage ist heute ein lohnenswertes historisches Museum. Weiter ging ich den lohnenswerten Weg zum Mönchsberg, der nebst den Parkanlagen auch eindrucksvolle aussicht auf die Stadt liefert. Die Stadt eignet sich bestens für eine Stadtwanderung, ob gemütlich durch die flache Altstadt oder etwas anspruchsvoller von Hügel zu Hügel, immer aufs neue werden einem Einblicke in die Stadtgeschichte geboten. Wenn auch das Wetter nicht mitspielt, kann man in eines der vielen Kaffeehäuser gehen und an den leckeren "Nockerln" schmausen.	On a snowy winter morning, I arrived in Salzburg. A historic city that got its name and importance from salt mining in the area. The mighty medieval fortress Hohensalzburg is watching over the city. Although a train goes up, I decided to take the historic footpath and cart-way to the fortress. Some fitness is needed, but you can experience a lot of history. The well-preserved castle complex is today a worthwhile historical museum. Next I went the nice way to the Mönchsberg, which in addition to the parks, allows impressive views of the city. The city is ideal for a city walk, whether cozy through the flat old town or a bit more sportive from hill to hill, you always get a new view into the city's history. Even if the weather is bad, you can go to one of the many coffee houses and enjoy the delicious "Nokerln".
