++SPS into Splinterlands via Base! Step-by-Step BUY & TRANSFER Guide!++
If you are new to Splinterlands, you soon learn that having SPS staked, benefits the game and the rewards you earn from the game. The next question is, "How do I buy SPS and bring it into game so I can stake it?" If you've been playing Splinterlands for awhile, you are also probably interested in being able to save a little time and money on transfer fees.
So, in this episode, I go over the process of buying, swapping and transferring SPS into game. I go over the process in a manner that first time users can learn from and long time users may pick-up a few new things to use in their usual transactions to be able to save time and fees.
BASE Network is a layer two network built on Ethereum and developed by Coinbase. The primary benefits of using it are lower fees and faster transactions. It was brought online with Splinterlands recently, allowing Base network wallets to be connected directly in game, making transfers pretty easy and quick, once you get the hang of it.
I originally thought the process was going to be more similar to that of traditional ETH buying, and converting on TribalDEX, however, was pleasantly surprised that the whole process is quicker. I want to give a special thanks to Azircon for writing a detailed article on this when the network connection was brought online with Splinterlands, and clearing up my misconceptions.
One step that is a bit tricky and is worth mentioning again in writing, is looking up the SPS token may require the full address. Before completing any transactions, please make sure that the token you are trading for is actually the Splintershards token with the full token address.
