When I saw the [CineTV contest](https://inleo.io/@cinetv/cine-tv-contest-140-favorite-movie-fighting-scene?referral=cinetv), my mind went to one place alone. This was one of the few action movies I saw in 2023 that I liked. I am not a big fan of action films unless it has a decent amount of horror.

**No Mercy** is a South Korean action film about a woman guard who sets out to find her younger sister, who has been kidnapped and abused sexually. The movie is dark and heavy, incorporating themes like mental health, Justice systems, dirty politics and bullying.
Before *Deaths’ Game*, I really enjoyed this movie. There was the wonderful contrast that helped focused your attention on the right thing. Aside the amazing plot, we had the actors doing their bid, giving us excellent performances.
I am a fan of revenge movies especially with a strong female lead. That is what we see with this movie. When the system failed, she took matters in her hands and let’s just say, it got bloody.

Did I mention the contrast? I did. One part I loved, one of the peak moments for me was here where she faced about a dozen men in her red dress and battered body. She fought like a woman. There were moments she was reckless, but she is a woman who is after the safety of her sister, that is enough to leave anyone distraught.
No Mercy to me wasn’t average. I wonder why some people gave it a low rating. I guess the movies people expect these days is one of “superheroes with no flaws”. They did to some extent limit the amount of explicit content but they were still very much generous with the gore (if I can call it that).
This movie was a solid 8/10 for me. And one I didn’t mind watching again.
