Lately, I have come across on social media and in general, among the youth, including my own daughters, how somehow it has been ingrained in their minds, perhaps in the future not to become mothers, which on a personal level, worries me on a family level because I am one of those who thinks that one should have at least one child, for different reasons, although if it is already a decision made after evaluating what you really don't want in your life, it is respected, but in this reflection, I give them several motivations.
>### You only learn to love when you become a mother.
According to my experience, this is a truth as big as a cathedral. Because from the very moment you know you are going to be a mother, no matter how much you think everything remains the same, your body, your emotions, and feelings start dictating other sensations, emotions, and feelings to you, as everything changes, physically and emotionally preparing you for the moment when that new little person enters your life. And once you go thru the entire childbirth process and they place the baby in your arms, everything becomes real and changes; from that moment on, you feel an unexpected love that you don't know how to measure, a love very different from what you might feel for anyone else. You can't explain it, you can only feel it, and the clearest thing you have is that for that being, you would be willing to give even your own life in exchange. Sleepless nights, illnesses, sacrifices, ups and downs will come, you will get tired and even frustrated at times, but at the end of the day, you know that your love remains intact and only grows over time, becoming the purest love you could ever experience. That's right, being a mother is a unique experience that every woman should live, because the fact of being able to create life and bring it into the world is a divine gift that can only come from God, it is a blessing, it is something that must be lived to understand what it means in a woman's life. Because as soon as you come out of childbirth and see your child, you can't believe that being came out of you; in that moment, you know you were part of a miracle, the miracle of giving life, and for that reason alone, it's worth it.
>### A child is a mark of you in this world.
I have always thot that a child is part of our history, of what we are offering to this world, a small part of you that you are sowing along your path and that of many others, because your child is not only yours, he comes to be part of an environment, of your immediate family created by you, apart from becoming part of your legacy. With a child, there will always be someone who says, "you are the child of..." and with that simple fact, your name will be perpetuated thru time along with the traditions, culture, customs, and values, because a child is a planting of you for the world, an extension of you. For this reason, and many more, having a child complements the lives of men and women; it is part of the natural cycle of life. But just as I reflect on this, I understand that this is a very personal decision for each individual. However, it is always good to visualize everything on the table to make life decisions. >## ES Últimamente, me he topado por las redes y a nivel general, entre la juventud, incluyendo a mis propias hijas, como de alguna manera u otra se les ha fijado en su mente, quizás en un futuro no ser madres, cosa que a nivel personal, me preocupa a nivel familiar porque soy de las que piensa que se debe tener aunque sea un hijo, por diferentes razones, aunque si ya es una decisión tomada luego de evaluar lo que realmente no quieres en tu vida, se respeta, pero en esta reflexión les doy varias motivaciones.
>### Solo se aprende a amar cuando se es madre.
Según mi experiencia, esta es una verdad del tamaño de una catedral. Porque desde el mismo momento en que sabes que vas a ser madre, por más que creas que todo sigue igual, tu cuerpo, tus emociones y sentimientos te van dictando otras sensaciones, emociones y sentimientos, pues todo cambia, físicamente y emocionalmente preparándote para el momento, en que esa nueva personita ingresa a tu vida y una vez que pasas por todo el proceso del parto y te lo ponen en brazos, todo se hace realidad y cambia; desde ese momento sientes un amor inesperado, que no sabes como medir, es un amor muy diferente al que puedas sentir por alguien más. No lo puedes explicar, solo lo puedes sentir y lo más claro que tienes es que por ese ser serias capaz de dar hasta tu propia vida a cambio, vendrán desvelos, enfermedades, sacrificios, altas y bajas, te cansaras e incluso te frustraras a veces, pero al final del día, sabes que tu amor permanece intacto y que solo se incrementa con el paso del tiempo, convirtiéndose en el amor más puro que puedas experimentar.
>### Es una experiencia única.
Así es, ser madre es una experiencia única, que toda mujer debería vivir, porque el hecho de poder crear vida y traerla al mundo, es un regalo divino, que solo puede venir de Dios, es una bendición, es algo que hay que vivirlo, para poder saber lo que significa en la vida de una mujer. Porque recién uno sale del parto y ve a su criatura, no puede creer que ese ser haya salido de nosotras; en ese instante sabes que fuiste parte de un milagro, el de dar vida, ya por ese hecho vale la pena. >### Un hijo es una huella de ti en este mundo. Siempre he pensado que un hijo, es parte de nuestra historia, de lo que vamos brindando a este mundo, es una pequeña parte de ti que vas sembrando en el camino tuyo y de muchos otros, porque tu hijo no solo es tuyo, él viene ya a formar parte de un entorno, de tu familia directa la creada por ti, aparte de convertirse en parte de tu legado. Con un hijo, siempre habrá alguien que le diga: "tú eres hijo de..." y con ese simple hecho, tu nombre se perpetuará a través del tiempo y con él las tradiciones, cultura, costumbres, valores, porque un hijo es una siembra de ti para el mundo, es una extensión de ti. Por ello, y muchas más razones, tener un hijo, complementa la vida a hombres y mujeres, es parte del ciclo natural de la vida; pero así como reflexiono en esto, comprendo que esta es una decisión muy personal de cada quien, pero siempre es bueno visualizar todo lo que hay en la mesa, para tomar decisiones de vida. ¡Esperando que estén en paz, saludables y en amor, mis saludos!
