Purpose
The purpose of this proposal is to allow myself, @brybro27, to host Guild Tournaments in Splinterlands and fund them with DEC (Guild Power) from the DAO. However, the DEC will be converted instantly to Guild Power upon sending to the winner/s so it will not be re-introduced back into the circulating supply.
Guild Tournaments
In order to keep players entertained while offering potential valuable rewards, I want to create a series of Guild Tournaments. These tournaments will allow players from any guild to prove that their guild is the best.
The type of Guild tournaments are still being designed, but could involve any of the following: - 1v1 (1 member of a guild vs 1 member of a guild) - 2v2 (2 members of same guild vs 2 members of same guild) - 5v5 (5 members of same guild vs 5 members of same guild)
These tournaments will span over a month in order to garner attention and build anticipation for the next round of battles.

Since a lot of people are asking for more information on the tournament structure, I've decided to layout some of my thoughts in hopes they answer most questions. Please note, these are just my original ideals and I'd be more than welcome to adjusting tournaments based on community feedback.
Tournament Policies - All guilds will be allowed to participate in each tournament - There may be a small entry fee required per guild (1k - 5k DEC MAX) -- Part of this fee will go towards paying those who will host the tournaments (myself and maybe a few helpers) -- Other part of this fee will go towards a large prize rewarded only at the end of certain tournaments - Depending on the type of tournament, guilds will nominate the players they want to represent the guild and play in the tournament - Upon entering a tournament, guilds will need to choose who they are sponsoring -- Guilds may sponsor either themselves or any other guild not participating in the tournament -- By sponsoring another guild, winnings (GP) will be sent to a member of the guild being sponsored - Top 3 guilds in each tournament will be unable to participate in the next monthly Guild Tournament series -- Only exception would be in the final tournament series (once every 6 months) -- Winners may not move to a new guild, nor can the winners receive card delegations from the winning accounts
Tournament Structure - The first couple of tournaments may be simple Anytime tournaments and Modern format only -- If these tournaments are well received, the format and type of tournament may change every month (but won't be super exclusive like GF only or Alpha/Beta only) - There will be one tournament per week -- Ranking will determine how many points you earn each week -- The total amount of points you earn by the last tournament of the month will determine final rankings
Reward Structure
The initial ideal for the Tournament Rewards are the following: - Payouts will only occur once a month (at the end of the tournament) -- Payouts will be sent from the sps.tournaments account - There will only be between 1-10 winners/payouts per tournament -- A guild can only receive one reward per tournament - Roughly 250k - 1M DEC/GP will be paid out each tournament - A system will be put in place to prevent the same guilds/players from winning/participating
DAO Funding
Majority of the rewards for these tournaments would be funded by the DAO. Since the community doesn't want to allow the DAO DEC back into the circulating supply, I believe a fair proposal would be to reward this DEC directly as Guild Power instead.
If you aren't familiar on how this works, you simply click the Get GP button on the Guild|Buildings page, enter how much DEC you want to convert to GP, change dropdown option to "To Player" and enter the player's username you want to send the GP too.
By rewarding GP, players can help build their own Guilds by donating the GP to a building in the guild, or they could offer their GP to be sent to a different player. The intentions for sending to a different player would be to hopefully help newer guilds that are struggling to accumulate the DEC/GP to level up their buildings.
Proposal
The ask for this proposal is to send the 'sps.tournaments' account 5M DEC to then be converted to GP as rewards for the first 6 months of hosting these Guild tournaments. The 5M DEC is only around 0.25% of the total DEC currently held by the DAO.
After 6 months, if the tournaments are successful, I will create another proposal to ask for additional funds.
