The Real Reason Real Estate Dies

I have written many posts about how suburban McMansions are going to zero. How bitcoin is soooo outperforming real estate, that many investors are dropping real estate. How people will be fleeing the cities to move to homesteads. How vast tracts of houses will be left unoccupied…

But, that's not the reason why real estate disappears. Why the concept of land ownership, especially ownership by the crown (real estate = kings estate) will go away, replaced by concepts that are far more important than "who had the most money" or "who got here first".

Many people, who feel priced out of the market, usually say, "good, it is about time that system fell", but they are saying "good" for the wrong reasons. Nevertheless, there will be an abundance of empty houses, for any who want to take them.

The breakdown of the system

The entire idea/thought pattern of real estate is breaking down from all sides. From the idea that you could work hard and become a home owner, to the idea that money alone can buy land. People are waking up to the fact that property tax is truly evil. It will come to pass that people give up on the entire concept of "real estate".

The idea of working hard and buying your first home was great, part of the American Dream, however it was completely yoinked away from the younger generations. And, unless the younger generations are quickly, and easily allowed to be part of the home ownership crowd, the whole structure will be burned to the ground. And the banksters are thinking that they are going to win the game of Monopoly, and own all the real estate.

Those mother WEFers are pushing Marxism hard. "You will own nothing, and be happy" However, they are sewing the seeds that will destroy "real estate". If you foster the ideas that people shouldn't be denied a house, and that landlords are completely evil, and then you add this to a socialist system of rent controls, add on top of that demographics collapse, you end with people not respecting property (real estate) rights. Basically, people will find an empty house and move into it

When you are denied a basic need (safe sleeping environment) and are pushed way too far (30 year mortgages? 30 years to pay back what cost less than a year to build) and then told that you deserve it (as Marxists is want to do) you end up with people who do not respect the system.

the old ways do not work

People will be moving to be with their "family", their tribe. And they will be forming small communities, or large homesteads. And technology will make it easy to build anywhere. (no need for roads, no need for power-lines, no need to be near stores)

Soooo, who is the owner of this "large homestead"? Is it the person who got crypto rich, and bought the land in the first place? Is it that each person who is part of the "family" owns a piece of it? Neither of these work.

A person who is a part of an intentional community should not have the right to destroy the place by being able to sell part of it. On top of that, anyone who is let in has to be welcomed by the entire group, so not just anyone could buy a piece, if it was for sale. Further, anyone born into the community would be a new partial owner. The old ways of buying and selling just really do not work.

The community, as a whole, owns the homestead, as a whole. So, while the community exists, the homestead cannot be sold unless the entire community decides to sell. And that would be almost unheard of, unless the place has something seriously wrong (like being under a layer of ice, which caused everyone to move).

And, in a mostly self-sufficient community, who would sell the community-land for money? If such a deal is ever made, it will not be about money.

The build up of a new system

There is enough land for everyone. There is so much unused land in America that it is surprising that real estate's value isn't zero already.

With the new technologies that allow people to have power anywhere they choose to set up, have an internet connection anywhere, have watered pumped to them through the sky… there is no need to be all smooshed into a city. And there are lots of great places to start a community when we do not have to consider roads and stores.

The communities will space out their homesteads. And the land in between them will be considered a buffer zone that no one owns. The non-ownership, and the separation will be maintained. Not as a law, but as a proper way of doing things. (with the area in between, people can move about without having to cross your homestead and there won't be any arguments over fence placement and such, or arguments over keeping your side looking the way someone else wishes to impose on you)

Govern-cements are going to fall apart. The ideas about the govern-cement "owning" all the land, and so "real estate" is just rented to the "land owners" is going away. No one will stand for their being a "land lord". Basically, all the words we use today will no longer be used, or will have their definitions completely changed. A property tax will be considered an act of war. Nature owns the land, who is this "king" to say that they own the land?

I forgot to mention that defensive technologies become far greater than offensive capabilities. In the not so distant future, the community that is set up in an area can deny others from entering their area. Not like a forcefield, but like, the area doesn't exist to outsiders. (there are already areas like this around the world. Most are written off as just being legend or myth.)

And further, we will learn to negotiate a lot better. No more win-lose dealings will be tolerated. In specific, how we deal with real estate today, denies the youth from having a place (all the places were divvied up before they were born, so they are SOL) will be seen as being evil. The entire premise of "real estate" will just be considered something only evil people do, and will be avoided.

Real Estate is going away. The entire structure. The words, the laws, everything.
