In one of the profound lessons of Brother Eli reminded us that not all our sheep come from God, but when they do, they are of our own good.
This carries deep meaning. So many times we see suffering as punishment or we find that something wrong is about to happen. Brother Eli has pointed out that when God allows us to face His trials, He is trying to shape our life, prepare us for something greater.
Apostle Paul in Romans 8:18 shows that the sufferings of this present time are not only to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. This also means that there is glory waiting at the end of every God-given suffering. Although my faith, tribulation, patience and experience, they all give us control.
Without our sheep, we cannot grow these virtues in us. Brother Eli is trying to teach us that we should look beyond the pain and recognize the purpose, divine purpose and our struggle.
God never gives anything bad. Everything that comes is from the will of God. If you are suffering today, you need to be courageous. Perhaps God sometimes teaches us patience, builds our strength and prepares us for the glory that will soon be revealed later on.
