Calamity is here! My favorite out of the released Conflict Airdrop Cards

**Hello Splinterlands**  *A lot of changes happened to the reward shop, and this is because of the reward cards update. We have come to the end of the rebellion reward cards and are now in the season of the conclave arcana reward card, which will last for at least a year.* *The only thing I dislike about the rarity draws is how they cancel the gold foil draw. This is because gold foil reward cards are no longer soulbound, so they don't want the supply to be too high and don't want players to get it easily, which is understandable.*  I spent some of my leftover glint on the rarity draws, taking them to batch 2, except the legendary draw, which cost a fortune, and I am out of glint.  *I was able to get some of the common cards to level 4, but they ain't useful in rank until I max them since I play in the champion's league. There should be a swift movement at the beginning of the next season. I spent most of the glint earned last season on making sure I was able to complete the rebellion epic gold foil reward cards.* # **Calamity Conflict Airdrop** *The Calamity monster is now available, and I have the maxed copy!, Just as I have predicted, the monster is a beast that is not easily tamed. I mentioned the abilities and their use case, and how the monster can be used in battle.* *I just could not stop spamming it in battle since I have it, and here is a list of the battles I won using it below.*  [battle link](https://splinterlands.com/battle/sl_644c6b899937060f46e5f6dfc61b083c) *In this battle, all monsters lost their abilities; only 5 monsters can be used, and melee monsters can attack from any position... I had to calm down, think of a good strategy to defeat my opponent, and the team above was what I could think of. My first monster in this battle was Chaos rear guard, and I used it because of its armor. It will help to defend against the opponent's melee attack in case he comes with melee, while the rest of my team is magic attackers, except for the halfling refugee in the second position.* *Even though this battle lacks abilities, Calamity was still useful because of its high health base.*  [battle link](https://splinterlands.com/battle/sl_f6faf4f6ce5ca95f2bb9203f6991b171) *Here is a fine battle where Calamity displays its awesomeness through its abilities... Its last stand plays a great role in this battle, but first of all, the bloodline tribute from **Moribund Arrowbait** boosted its stat, and when it was the only calamity left in my team, the last stand triggered, and the rest was history! The opponent tried its best too, but the Earthquake and burning debuff from one of his monsters ruined the battle for him.* *There are still many battles I won with calamity, and I haven't had enough of him, which is not going to happen anytime soon, so expect more calamity on your end if you happen to be my opponent.* *I will have the chance to test the new loot chest once this season ends.
