How the Armored Strike Tactic Turned the Battle in my Favor

**Hello Splinter nerds**  Amidst today's dip, sps still stand strong. It didn't dip much like other tokens, and I hope it can keep remaining strong... *The emp-warden account now has a total stake of 1.2m staked sps, which makes us closer to our target of 2m, and with the way things are going, the demand for sps in the game will keep getting high, which may cause a surge in the price, but fingers crossed.* *When it comes to gameplay, strategy never ends, and there are many tactics you can come up with in different rule sets.* *I had a battle today where I made use of Armor Strike Tactics* *The armored strike is an ability that allows monsters to be able to attack with their armor. I was paired with ``Kesryn`` in a 3 ruleset.*  **Armored up**: This is the first rule, all monsters gain +2 additional armor... **Equal Opportunity**: *This rule indicates that all units have ``opportunity`` ability, which makes them target the monster with the lowest health on the opponent team.* **Lost Legendaries**: *This is the last rule, and it indicates that legendary monsters are not allowed in the battle.* The combination of these three rules is what made me decide to come up with the armored strike tactics, but there was a con I needed to take care of if I really wanted to be victorious... The opponent might come with Eternal tofu, so if I use a melee monster with the armor strike without anything to protect it from the thorns, it would be a waste of the armored strike ability. *Below is the screenshot of our lineup and the explanation of my formation.*  [battle link](https://splinterlands.com/battle/sl_6c27cb45799a5dd97a8ede00c9ba7bb5) *Just as expected, the opponent came with the life splinter using the Eternal Tofu summoner, and I came up with the Emp summoner with the plan to use the Armored strike.* **My Formation** **Ironwing Juggernaut** *was my tank and also the monster with the lowest health in my team, so it would be the first target of the opponent. I used it because it is a 3 mana monster and it has armor so it may last a while before the opponent takes it down, **Yaba's pickle** was my second monster, its slow ability will be needed to slow down the opponent, giving me the chance to attack first and its shield, dodge and heal ability will make it difficult for the opponent to defeat it.* *Yaba's pickle and **Nimble dook explorer** are non attack monsters so I used **Happy Quokka** with the weapon training ability to give them a melee attack.
