*As we grow older, our dreams and goals change; they reshape themselves to match the season of our lives.*  [source](https://pixabay.com/photos/boy-dreams-dream-fantasy-young-4117568/) *Our parents dream of seeing their grandchildren, we dream of becoming successful and having a beautiful family, but there was a time when our dreams were different, like we didn't even have creating a family in the picture.* *Not everyone aspires to build a family, and that's a reminder that our dreams will never all be the same.* *At a point in my life, during my teenage days, I suck at football and others would mock me, I am always one of the last to be picked when players are being selected on the pitch and this is because all the star players have been chosen, most time I have to wait for the next 2 set before I can have a chance to play. It hurt so much that I dream of becoming a skillful player. I bear all the mockery and play when I am given the chance. Nothing changed for a few years until I left my hometown to stay with my sister. The first time I played ball there, I was surprised to be seen as a skillful player.* *I was not appreciated in my home town and here I am in a new place and the people look at me like a star, sometimes all we need to do is change environment and witness a miraculous change in our life, I spent two years with my sis before I went back home and guess what, my game play has improved a lot and I was no longer mocked, I became one of the star players in my home town too and people would always hail me on the pitch.* *I was happy that I was well known in my community and some other neighbouring communities as a skillful player. It felt good, that was success for me at that time, but that season changed when I graduated from secondary school.*  [source](https://pixabay.com/photos/giraffe-child-nature-dream-fantasy-1959110/) *Like my best friend and other friends, I never thought chasing football as a career was within my reach, so I gave up after I graduated from secondary school.* *If you ask me now, what is my definition of being successful in life, I have 2 things on my mind.* - **Financial Freedom**: *This will always come first for me when it comes to being successful. Most of the things we need in life now to make us happy require money. If you want to make others happy, you need money! You want to build a happy family, but money is still needed to make it happen! I can't say a particular amount of money determines financial freedom for me; my own definition of financial freedom is when my family and I are all financially free. I mean, when my siblings don't need to look up to me to give them money, that is the kind of financial freedom I wish for, that all my family members are rich.* - **New Family**: *There is a saying that a man will leave his family to create a new family. When money is no longer a problem, having a lovely wife and beautiful children is something I also consider a measure of success. The point of making money is to take care of the family. Money is useless with no family to spend it on.* *So yeah, Money and family are my top priorities.
