Hello fellow travelers? Today I wanted to talk to you about a very special place for me, a place that has been very important since my childhood, so a place to which I am very attached, because since I was a child I came to the sea on this beautiful beach, probably one of the least famous beaches in Italy, which is the beach of Sottomarina in the municipality of Chioggia.
This beach for one is located along the Adriatic Sea and extends for about 6/7 km and in some points the depth of the water can reach more than 300 meters, you have to be really careful, because this area is very treacherous, for example I who do not know how to swim so much I always try to stay close to the shore, but I still happened to see people in great difficulty.
In the last few years they have planted many palm trees here that really look good
So since I am very fond of this beach, I go back several times during the year, the beach as you can see is between two dams, I often go for a walk in one of these that I photographed in these photos, where there are all these structures that are used by local fishermen to fish for sea bream, sea bass but also crabs because here in recent years it has spread and was also blue, a somewhat alien species But lately it is also devouring other species.
Trabocchi are particular installations for fishing with nets, typical of the local maritime culture.
I also forgot to tell you, that these dams are also used to manage the high tides and the sea that in these areas is really bad at times, it often happens that walking above this dam You can notice that many people come here with their fishing rod to spend time and maybe take home a catch to prepare dinner with their family.

As I was telling you, I always came here first with my grandparents and then also with my parents, it was the beach of the week of August that we spent the sea and it was customary once in Italy to always have these two weeks of August that we came here to rest and to have fun with the sea.

Now I come here every now and then as I was telling you on the weekend, maybe I prefer other areas to spend the summer holidays, but in any case I have to say that they are always well organized here and lately it has become very international as a beach, because people from all over the world come here.
