Debo confesar que aunque disfruto mucho las salidas despues del ocaso; son mis menos favoritas por lo limitada que suelen ser mis opciones de regresar a mi casa después de cierta hora. Pero, en esta ocasion me animñe a romper un poco la rutina con esta Conection Night.
El proposito principal de la reunion noctura de hoy; fue dar a conocer las bondades de la blockchain de Polkadot, los proyectos en los cuales está involucrado Space for Build.
**Polkadot: La blockchain que conecta el futuro**
La Conection Night inició con Simón explicandonos la multioperabilidad de la blockchain de Polkadot, una blockchain de capa 0; que se enfoca en proporcionar seguridad e infraestructura a otras cadenas(parachains) permitiendo que funcionen e interactúen entre sí de forma segura y eficiente.
Polkadot, fué creado por Gavin Wood, quién en su momento también fué pilar fundamental en la construcción de Ethereum; Wood notó todas las limitaciones de la blockchain de Ethereum, por lo que decidió crear Polkadot.
**Space 4 Build impulsando el emprendimiento en Guayana**
Pero más allá de lo interesante de la blockchain, una de los puntos importante de la pequeña charla fué dar a conocer el trabajo que está llevando a cabo el equipo de Space 4 Build en Guayana; donde no solo están educando a comunidades indigenas, sino que también estan apoyando los emprendimientos locales con una página similar a un directorio, en el cual exponen con detalles servicios de turismo y viaje a todos los interesados en conocer el Salto Angél y el estado Bolivar.
**La adopción Web3 en acción: Waraira Food acepta DOTs**
Otro punto importante fué apoyar a un emprendedor de la zona; el dueño de "Waraira Food" un pequeño local de comida rápido ubicado en Santa Monica; pues, no solo cedio sus espacio para la charla; sino que también empezo a aceptar DOTS (Token de la blockchain de polkadot) por medio de la Subwallet, y usando como pasarela de pago la plataforma creada por los chicos de Space for Build.
**El futuro de la adopción Web3 está en la comunidad**
Asi, pudimos disfrutar de una noche de hamburguesas llena de anecdotas, conversaciones amenas y chistes. Luego de haber terminado el meeting; me quede con la siguiente reflexion...
Si, la adopcion que tanto se quiere es posible; pero requiere de un trabajo de hormiga. Es fundamental educar al ciudadano de a pie sobre las ventajas de Web3. Y lo más importante: debemos apoyar el talento y los emprendimientos locales para que esta tecnología sea bien recibida y genere un impacto real.

Conocer mujeres como ella (que diariamente apoyan a otros a seguir aprendiendo de tecnologia), me motiva a seguir creando y apoyando iniciativas que abran las puertas de la innovación a más personas.

I must confess that although I really enjoy the outings after sunset; they are my least favorite because of how limited my options are to return home after a certain time. But, this time I decided to break the routine with this Conection Night.
The main purpose of today's meeting was to show the benefits of Polkadot's blockchain, the projects in which Space for Build is involved.
**Polkadot: The blockchain that connects the future**.
The Conection Night started with Simon explaining the multi-operability of the Polkadot blockchain, a layer 0 blockchain; which focuses on providing security and infrastructure to other blockchains (parachains) allowing them to operate and interact with each other in a secure and efficient way.
Polkadot, was created by Gavin Wood, who at the time was also a fundamental pillar in the construction of Ethereum; Wood noticed all the limitations of the Ethereum blockchain, so he decided to create Polkadot.
**Space 4 Build driving entrepreneurship in Guyana**.
But beyond the interesting of the blockchain, one of the important points of the small talk was to publicize the work being carried out by the Space 4 Build team in Guayana; where they are not only educating indigenous communities, but they are also supporting local entrepreneurship with a page similar to a directory, in which they expose with details of tourism and travel services to all those interested in knowing the Angel Falls and the state of Bolivar.
**Web3 Adoption in Action: Waraira Food accepts DOTs**
Another important point was to support an entrepreneur of the area; the owner of "Waraira Food" a small fast food place located in Santa Monica; he not only gave his space for the talk, but also started to accept DOTS (polkadot blockchain tokens) through the Subwallet, and using as payment gateway the platform created by the guys from Space for Build.
**The future of Web3 adoption is in the community**.
So, we were able to enjoy a night of hamburgers full of anecdotes, pleasant conversations and jokes. After the meeting was over; I was left with the following reflection....
Yes, the adoption that we want so much is possible; but it requires a lot of work. It is essential to educate ordinary citizens about the advantages of Web3. And the most important thing: we must support local talent and entrepreneurship so that this technology is well received and generates a real impact.
Finally, I had the opportunity to personally meet Angelica Graterol; Co-Founder of HerDAO Peru, Senior Ambassador of Polkadot and part of the core team of Spaces 4 build.
Meeting women like her (who daily support others to continue learning about technology), motivates me to continue creating and supporting initiatives that open the doors of innovation to more people.
