Hello guys
I’ve missed this. It’s been a while since I last did a daily art challenge, and I used to make a ton of elves around this time of year. I really miss giving them personality and little quirks, so that’s why I decided to start Elftober, my own challenge. For this first drawing, my Joyful Elf I wanted to explore some different possibilities. I usually use green for coloring, but today I went with a simple flat beige for the skin. The outfit, though? Totally bright and colorful just like I love it much it never disappoints Just the look of that running, happy face is enough to remind me why I started this whole thing. Let the 31 days of elf magic begin.
Here are the first five prompts you may use should you want to take part in this whimsical challenge.
Date Prompt Day 1 Joyful Elf: The elf is happily running Day 2 Secret Smile: What is the elf secretly happy about? Day 3 Autumn Treasure: The elf discovers the most beautiful, perfect fall leaf. Day 4 Tiny Victory: The elf celebrating a small success Day 5 Whirling Dance: The elf is caught up in a gust of wind and twirling.
Elftober is my personal art challenge running throughout October, where I create a new elf drawing every day. Inspired by the popular Inktober event, Elftober is my own initiative to focus specifically on the magical and whimsical world of elves. My goal is to draw one piece of art featuring an elf for all 31 days of the month, using a custom prompt list to spark my creativity and help me explore my drawing style. It's a fun way for me to celebrate the magical autumn season with my favorite pointy-eared friends
