Last night I was just letting some Christmas decor videos play on my laptop to get some cozy vibe and I guess my hand just moved on its own. This is the result of that doodling session.
Somewhere between Christmas trends 2025 and DIY ribbon hacks my brain said, what if a squirrel wore socks and read books? and, well, here she is.
No plan just a cozy little doodle that happened while YouTube was talking about mantel garlands and the Ralph Lauren aesthetic. She looks like the kind of woodland scholar who neatly categorizes her acorns and hosts book clubs in her cozy place. Honestly? Same energy.
My drawing is simplistic like my previous elves characters but also a little bit folk art and the almost flat colors. I made a squirrel dressed like a confused little scholar. Not sure why I gave her that startled expression. Her tail is fluffy and just this big curly thing.
I used a kind of textured, grainy pencil lineart that really makes it look like a doodle and not a finished illustration. I mean, look at those socks and those feet, they are just big lumpy shapes. I think I really capture that little moment of surprise.
