Days of flu and the strength of a dream
Flu days are tough, but you just have to get up and keep pushing forward. Sometimes, we can't stop; we have to keep working even when our bodies have no energy. Today, I had to go to the agency for a meeting, and they made me wear a face mask, but I had to attend.

I am a designer, although I really only do it to fulfill my dream of living from photography. So, on my way on the bus, I started doing what I love most: taking photos. I began the long journey towards Miraflores, but not before stopping by the market to buy some breakfast, because "a full belly makes for a happy heart."

I was already prepared for what would be an endless trip, since, as I've told you before, Lima's traffic is hellish. What should have been 30 minutes turned into two interminable hours, but in the end, I made it.

On the bus, I took the opportunity to snap some photos. A very peculiar man got on; he didn't want his picture taken, but he talked a lot as we say here, "he talked to his elbows." At least his conversation made the journey more pleasant, and I was able to take a few photos of him. Along the way, I came across many strange things that caught my attention, so I took the chance to photograph them. I took a picture of everything that caught my eye.

And just like that, my trip to the meeting ended. When I left, I was destroyed. All I wanted was to go back home. I slept the entire way back and, when I arrived, I kept on sleeping. Today, I barely have the energy to write, but I know I must keep pushing forward to fulfill my dreams.

Hola querida comunidad en Blanco y Negro

Días de gripe y la fuerza de un sueño
Los días de gripe son difíciles, pero uno debe levantarse y seguir remando. A veces, simplemente no podemos detenernos; hay que continuar trabajando incluso cuando el cuerpo no tiene energías. Hoy tuve que ir a la agencia para una reunión y me hicieron asistir con mascarilla, pero era una cita obligatoria.

Soy diseñador, aunque en realidad lo hago para poder cumplir mi sueño de vivir de la fotografía. Así que, de camino en mi bus, empecé a hacer lo que más me gusta: tomar fotos. Emprendí el largo viaje hacia Miraflores, no sin antes pasar por el mercado para comprar algo de desayunar, porque "barriga llena, corazón contento".

Ya estaba preparado para lo que sería un viaje eterno, pues, como ya les he comentado, el tráfico de Lima es infernal. Lo que deberían ser 30 minutos se convirtieron en dos horas interminables, pero al final, lo logré.

En el bus, aproveché para sacar algunas fotografías. Se subió un señor muy peculiar que no quería fotos, pero hablaba muchísimo, como decimos aquí, "hablaba hasta por los codos". Al menos, su conversación hizo el camino más ameno y pude tomarle algunas fotos. Durante el trayecto, me encontré con muchas cosas extrañas que llamaron mi atención, así que aproveché para capturarlas con mi cámara. Todo lo que veía y me interesaba, lo fotografiaba.

Así, finalmente, terminó mi viaje hacia la reunión. Cuando salí, estaba destruido. Solo quería volver a casa. Me dormí todo el camino de regreso y, al llegar, continué durmiendo. Hoy apenas tengo energías para escribir, pero sé que debo seguir remando para cumplir mis sueños.
