De esos momentos que te sorprenden 😋 (Esp-Eng)

¿Qué tan rápido puedes pasar de desear una cosa a disfrutar de algo mejor? Quizás la sorpresa llega de tal manera que te deja sin reacción alguna pero con un toque especial y mucho mejor a lo que podrías haber imaginado antes. Esto es precisamente lo que me pasó al ir a la casa de mi tía, una visita no tan planeada y que terminó en algo que, tal como lo he dicho, dió paso a algo impensable y poco probable de suponer. Se podría decir que este fue un momento que pude saborear con mucha satisfacción y alegría mientras agradecía el gesto y recordatorio por parte de mi prima. Resulta que justo al ir de camino a casa, le comenté a mi prima que tenía ganas de comer algo dulce y frío como un helado. Obviamente solo fue eso, un comentario no más ya que no había un lugar cerca para poder comprarlo. Así que sin darle muchas vueltas al asunto nos fuimos a la casa de mi tía para cenar y hablar un poco. Admito que aunque no lo dije, en mi cabeza todavía persistía el deseo de comerme un helado, y entonces empecé a pensar en que quizás al día siguiente podría darme el lujo de comprarme el helado. De pronto mi prima estaba buscando algo en la nevera y mientras buscaba algunas cosas me dijo: "Esto que está aquí es tuyo" ¿Acaso sería un helado? >How quickly can you go from wanting one thing to enjoying something better? Perhaps the surprise comes in such a way that it leaves you with no reaction at all but with a special touch and much better than you could have imagined before. This is precisely what happened to me when I went to my aunt's house, a not so planned visit that ended in something that, as I said, gave way to something unthinkable and unlikely to be imagined. You could say that this was a moment that I could savor with great satisfaction and joy as I was grateful for the gesture and reminder from my cousin. >It turns out that just as I was on my way home, I commented to my cousin that I was craving something sweet and cold like ice cream. Obviously that was all it was, just a comment since there was no place nearby to buy it. So without giving the matter too much thought we went to my aunt's house to have dinner and talk a little. I admit that although I didn't say it, the desire to eat ice cream still lingered in my head, and then I started thinking that maybe the next day I could afford to buy ice cream. Suddenly my cousin was looking for something in the fridge and while she was looking for some things she said to me: "This is yours" Was it an ice cream?   Pues no lo era, pero resultó ser algo mucho mejor. Se trataba de un envase lleno de jalea de mango que desde hace varias semanas me habían guardado allí. Sinceramente no me acordaba de eso, y confieso que mi sorpresa fue aún mayor al saber que estaba bueno y muy delicioso. De hecho, creo que hasta adquirió un sabor más concentrado y bastante dulce, mejor que el helado que tanto añoraba. Parecía una compota fría, y de más está decir que una de mis frutas favoritas precisamente es el mango. ¿Qué más se podría pedir? Y es que tenía bastante tiempo que no disfrutaba de un dulce como este. Pero, ¿Cómo llegó esa jalea a la nevera y por qué pasó tanto tiempo? Esto data desde hace ya un mes cuando unos amigos de Coro, estado Falcón nos visitaron. Entre muchas cosas, ellos nos trajeron conservas de coco y frascos llenos con jalea de mango. En ese momento yo me comí las conservas, pero la jalea la guardé en la nevera de mi tía para comérmela luego. Así pasaron días, semanas y como verán pues se me olvidó por completo, y de no ser por mi prima todavía estaría ignorante de eso que hasta hace poco ni siquiera existía en mis pensamientos. Creo que estaba más cerca de enterarme por la persona que me regaló la jalea a esperar a recordarme que tenía eso guardado en la nevera de mi tía. >Well, it wasn't, but it turned out to be something much better. It was a container full of mango jelly that had been kept there for several weeks. I honestly did not remember that, and I confess that my surprise was even greater when I found out that it was good and very delicious. In fact, I think it even acquired a more concentrated and quite sweet flavor, better than the ice cream I was longing for. It looked like a cold compote, and needless to say that one of my favorite fruits is precisely mango. What more could I ask for? It had been a long time since I had enjoyed a sweet like this. But how did that jelly get in the fridge and why did it take so long? >This dates back to a month ago when some friends from Coro, Falcón state visited us. Among many things, they brought us coconut preserves and jars filled with mango jelly. At that time I ate the preserves, but I kept the jelly in my aunt's fridge to eat it later. Days and weeks went by and as you can see I forgot all about it, and if it wasn't for my cousin I would still be ignorant of what until recently didn't even exist in my thoughts. I think I was closer to finding out from the person who gave me the jelly than waiting to be reminded that I had it stored in my aunt's fridge.  Muchas cosas se combinaron para poder darme una sorpresa que jamás olvidaré. También debo agradecer a mi tía y a mi prima por no habérsela comido, y es que esa jalea era una verdadera tentación bastante difícil de ignorar. Menos mal que la persona quien me la regaló jamás me preguntó sobre cómo estaba la jalea, ya que estoy seguro de que mi respuesta rápida y espontánea iba a ser: "¿Cuál jalea de mango?" Realmente me da mucha risa y a la vez una grata sensación de esas que nos afectan de manera positiva y son tan necesarias pues se convierten en anécdotas especiales y dignas de mencionar. Estos son de esos momentos que te sorprenden y te dejan un buen sabor en el corazón, porque más allá de disfrutar de un buen dulce está la sensación y el detalle que por instantes nos devuelven la sonrisa y la armonía que nos refrescan hasta el alma. Es como un gesto consentidor que no esperabas pero que tanto necesitabas, y que al no planearse ni sospecharse se vuelven más importantes. Así que puedo decir con total seguridad de que este momento ha sido de esos que agradeces y valoras con una felicidad enorme y plena. >Many things combined to give me a surprise that I will never forget. I also have to thank my aunt and cousin for not eating it, because that jelly was a real temptation that was hard to ignore. Thank goodness the person who gave it to me never asked me how the jelly was, because I am sure my quick and spontaneous answer would have been: "Which mango jelly?" It really gives me a good laugh and at the same time a pleasant feeling of those that affect us in a positive way and are so necessary because they become special anecdotes worth mentioning. >These are those moments that surprise you and leave a good taste in your heart, because beyond enjoying a good candy is the feeling and the detail that for moments give us back the smile and harmony that refresh us to the soul. It is like a pampering gesture that you did not expect but that you needed so much, and that when not planned or suspected becomes more important.
