I think it's the first time I've been so involved with a celebration like this, and I admit that it has its challenges so that the guests don't at least suspect anything. This time we had to invent a supposed "simple and familiar lunch", a few days after the specific day of the anniversary and without talking much about that date. At first the boys accepted without assuming anything, to the point that just an hour before the supposed lunch they called us and told us that they could not attend. Why? Because they had to travel to another city to pick up some documents. That's how the run began and an adjustment of plans that led us to get to their house without telling them anything.
>At least the surprise turned out to be greater, since when we arrived we found them sitting on the furniture watching television. Too bad we couldn't record that unique first impression, because they really didn't expect us to get there. Only the cake, a balloon and some soft drinks were what we could bring because there was no time to bring more things. The lunch plan was included in the surprise, but since we had to go to their house we had to modify the original idea. I think the fact that it had happened this way gave it a more special touch, and in their words of thanks we perceived a joy that was contagious to all of us since it was their first anniversary.
Entre risas y anécdotas, ambos nos contaron de lo rápido que pasó este primer año como matrimonio y cuántas cosas han compartido en tan poco tiempo. A decir verdad nosotros no tenemos tanto tiempo como grupo de amigos, pero de manera rápida y natural hemos podido cultivar un hermoso vínculo. Se notó el interés y la felicidad de parte de mis otros amigos quienes desde el primer momento tuvieron un objetivo claro y fue el de no dejarles pasar este primer año de aniversario sin siquiera un detalle como el que les pudimos brindar. Quizás no fue como lo pensamos ni en el lugar planeado, pero logramos darles un regalo especial que, tal como ellos mismos lo dijeron, se guardan no en la mente sino en el corazón.
La reunión ni siquiera duró una hora, porque ellos tenían que salir a hacer su diligencia, pero aquellos fueron los minutos que más disfrutamos y compartimos al verlos muy sorprendidos y llenos de felicidad. Incluso dijeron que por el hecho de que ya habían pasado varios días después de la fecha del aniversario pues ya no creían que recibirían algo como lo que pasó, lo cual también nos emocionó mucho a nosotros porque a pesar de todos los cambios nunca nos pasó por la mente renunciar a la celebración. Si así fue el primer aniversario, no quiero imaginar cómo serán los demás y los que vendrán con mis otros amigos, pero aún así me alegra ser parte de estos momentos que siempre graban en nosotros un momento y una experiencia imborrable.
>Between laughter and anecdotes, both told us how fast this first year as a married couple has gone by and how many things they have shared in such a short time. To tell the truth we do not have so much time as a group of friends, but quickly and naturally we have been able to cultivate a beautiful bond. We noticed the interest and happiness of my other friends who from the first moment had a clear objective and that was not to let this first year anniversary pass without even a detail like the one we were able to give them. Maybe it was not as we thought or in the planned place, but we were able to give them a special gift that, as they themselves said, they keep not in their minds but in their hearts.
>The meeting did not even last an hour, because they had to go out to do their errands, but those were the minutes that we most enjoyed and shared to see them very surprised and full of happiness. They even said that because it had already been several days after the anniversary date they didn't think they would receive something like what happened, which also made us very excited because despite all the changes it never crossed our minds to give up the celebration. If this is how the first anniversary was, I don't want to imagine how the others will be and the ones to come with my other friends, but I am still happy to be part of these moments that always engrave in us a moment and an indelible experience.
